📢 CSR Card Update – The New CSR System is Now Live! 📢

Good news! The new CSR online system is now live, and we are once again able to process new and renewal CSR card applications.

There are a number of important changes that all applicants should be aware of:

✅ Cards will now be posted directly to the cardholder by CSR, rather than being sent to the training provider.

✅ A new-look CSR card has been introduced.

📱 Virtual CSR cards are now available through the MyCSCS App, allowing cardholders to access their card on their mobile phone anytime, anywhere.

📧 Mobile phone numbers and email addresses are now mandatory for all applications, as these are required to access the MyCSCS App. Please note that each applicant must have their own unique mobile number and email address, as these cannot be shared between multiple cardholders.

📄 NVQ certificates must now be uploaded as part of all NVQ-based card applications and renewals. Once uploaded, your qualification records will be securely held by the CSR scheme.

🌍 CSR continues to offer excellent recognition across the UK and Ireland. Thanks to its mutual recognition agreement with SOLAS SafePass, the majority of CSR cards are accepted throughout both the UK and the Republic of Ireland.

☀️ Summer Holiday Closure ☀️

BSD Training will be closed for our Summer Holidays from Monday 13th July 2026 until Friday 24th July 2026.

Our last working day will be Friday 10th July 2026, finishing at 5:00pm.

We will reopen as normal on Monday 27th July 2026 at 8:30am.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our customers for their continued support so far this year. We hope everyone enjoys a well-earned summer break, and let's hope the sunny and dry weather continues! ☀️

CSR is excited to announce that they will soon be launching a new card management system, CSR Online. This will replace the current WES system they have operated for the last 15-20 years.

For card holders, the card design has been updated and CSR will also be launching an app. Card holders will have access to a virtual card via the app, as soon as the application is approved and processed.

For the avoidance of doubt, at present plastic cards will continue to be issued and will include a chip that can be scanned on the industry wide CSCS SmartCheck app, offering employers real time checking of active cards. Checking via CSCS SmartCheck will also be available via the app using a dynamic QR code. There will also continue to be an online CSR card checker on the CEF website.

Due to this the CSR system (WES) will not be accessible to CSR training providers from 4pm on Monday 22 June.

To enable data migration and final testing, the go live date for the new system is scheduled to be Monday 29th June.

Unfortunately this means there may be a delay in processing and issuing CSR cards over the next week or so while CSR migrate their data and get the new system up and running.

We apologise in advance for any issues this may cause.
