🧠🏆 Meadowbridge Inter-Schools’ Table Quiz!
Earlier today, four pupils from P6 and P7 had the fantastic opportunity to represent Riverdale Primary School at the Meadowbridge Inter-Schools’ Table Quiz.
Teams from 15 local primary schools gathered to put their knowledge to the test across a variety of topics and eight exciting quiz rounds!
Our pupils had a wonderful afternoon, working together, challenging themselves and representing Riverdale brilliantly. 🌟

Primary 5 have been working hard this week learning about the properties of 3D shapes. We finished our learning by getting creative and designing our own 3D Shape Monsters! Each monster was carefully built using different 3D shapes, helping us to identify and remember their properties, including faces, edges and vertices. The pupils showed great imagination while demonstrating their excellent understanding of the shapes we have been studying. Well done, Primary 5! 👏

Our girls’ hockey team recently travelled to Friends’ School, Lisburn to take part in the first blitz of the year. These sessions are all about having fun, trying different positions on the pitch and developing teamwork, with no scores being kept.
The girls represented the school brilliantly, playing very well together and showing great improvement as they progressed through each match. It was fantastic to see their confidence and teamwork grow throughout the day.
Well done to all of the girls who took part! We are very proud of your effort, enthusiasm and sportsmanship. 🏑

Meet our Digital Leaders!
We are delighted to introduce our Primary 7 Digital Leaders for this school year! These pupils will have an important role in supporting ICT across our school, including technical support, promoting online safety, helping in classrooms, sharing digital skills and ideas and getting involved in exciting digital projects and fundraising initiatives. Well done to all the P6 & P7 Riverdale Runners who came along for the first cross country session of the year. 🌟🎭Riverdale’s Got Talent 2026 Winner Revealed! 🎭🌟

What a fantastic morning we had at Riverdale’s Got Talent 2026! Our finalists wowed the audience and judges with an incredible range of talents, showcasing creativity, confidence, determination and lots of hard work.

We were treated to amazing performances including gymnastics, dancing, magic tricks, artwork, drumming and a solo guitar performance. Every act was unique and demonstrated the wonderful talents we have at Riverdale.

🥇After a very difficult decision, our judges have crowned Isaac as the 2026 Riverdale’s Got Talent Champion for his Marvelous Monster Art creation! 🏆🎨

🥈Second place goes to Edie and Kora for their fantastic dance routine, which had the audience captivated from start to finish.💃

A huge congratulations to all of our finalists for having the courage to perform and share their talents with us. You should all be incredibly proud of yourselves.

Well done everyone for making this year’s Riverdale’s Got Talent such a memorable and enjoyable event! 👏🌟

RIVERDALE'S GOT TALENT IS BACK 🎤🌟

This Friday our eleven fantastic finalists will take the stage to be in with a chance of being crowned RGT Winner 2026 🏆

🏊‍♂️ Riverdale Primary School Swimming Success! 🏊‍♀️
A huge congratulations to all of our P4–P7 pupils who represented Riverdale at the recent swimming gala at the Lisburn LeisurePlex.
Our swimmers performed brilliantly throughout the day, bringing home an impressive collection of gold, silver and bronze medals across a variety of events. We were especially delighted to see our relay team of Zander, Edward, Ollie and Sam claim 1st place, finishing with an outstanding time of 1:08.32! 🥇👏
Thanks to the hard work, determination and sportsmanship shown by all of our swimmers, Riverdale finished 3rd overall out of all the schools attending based on points accumulated throughout the gala – a fantastic achievement for everyone involved.
Well done to every pupil who took part and represented our school so positively. We are incredibly proud of you all! 🌟
A special thank you also goes to the parents and families who supported and helped throughout the day. Your encouragement and assistance are greatly appreciated.

🌟 Primary 5 Visit to W5! 🌟
What a fantastic day our Primary 5 pupils had at W5 today!
The children thoroughly enjoyed exploring the different exhibition floors, taking part in a wide range of interactive activities and investigations. They had the opportunity to develop their scientific thinking by exploring concepts such as forces, motion, engineering, technology and problem-solving through hands-on experiences.
One of the highlights of the day was participating in the "Fizz Bang Pop" workshop. During this exciting session, pupils carried out a variety of science experiments to investigate different types of change, learning about changes that are temporary and permanent. They made predictions, observed results and discussed their findings just like real scientists!
Throughout the visit, the children demonstrated excellent behaviour, enthusiasm and curiosity. They embraced every opportunity to ask questions, explore new ideas and work collaboratively with their classmates.
A wonderful day of learning, discovery and fun was had by all. Well done, P5!🔬⚙️🧪✨
