A huge congratulations to all of our P4โP7 pupils who represented Riverdale at the recent swimming gala at the Lisburn LeisurePlex.
Our swimmers performed brilliantly throughout the day, bringing home an impressive collection of gold, silver and bronze medals across a variety of events. We were especially delighted to see our relay team of Zander, Edward, Ollie and Sam claim 1st place, finishing with an outstanding time of 1:08.32! ๐ฅ๐
Thanks to the hard work, determination and sportsmanship shown by all of our swimmers, Riverdale finished 3rd overall out of all the schools attending based on points accumulated throughout the gala โ a fantastic achievement for everyone involved.
Well done to every pupil who took part and represented our school so positively. We are incredibly proud of you all! ๐
A special thank you also goes to the parents and families who supported and helped throughout the day. Your encouragement and assistance are greatly appreciated.

Primary 1 had a fantastic morning on Thursday as they welcomed their friends from Legacurry Pre-School for a Teddy Bearโs Picnic. The children enjoyed a range of fun activities including parachute games, Play-Based Learning and creating picnics for their teddies in our Forest School area. They also enjoyed a special teddy snack, took part in party games and finished the morning by listening to the 'Teddy Bearโs Picnic' story. A big thank you to the staff and parents at Legacurry Pre-School for bringing the children along โ it was a wonderful morning enjoyed by all!

Earlier this week, Primary 5 pupils took their learning outdoors with Miss Curry during Forest School, as part of their Natural Disasters topic. ๐ฟ๐๏ธ
Using natural materials, the children worked together to build shelters, exploring how people might protect themselves in challenging environments. The activity developed teamwork, problem-solving, creativity and resilience while linking to their classroom learning.
Well done, P5, a fantastic example of our 'Thinking Interdepently' Habit of Mind! ๐๐
