🍂 And look at these beauties! 🍄

The very recognisable Fly Agaric (Amanita) and the Shaggy Ink Cap (Coprinus comatus).

Perfect time of year to spot andphotograph these woodland treasures. 🌳🍄

The Shaggy Ink Cap starts to dissolve soon after it’s picked, turning into a thick black “ink” as it releases its spores. This was actually used as ink many years ago!

The one in the picture is currently doing exactly that and is slowly dissolving away at home. 🍄‍🟫🖤

Nature really is amazing! 🌳💚

🍂🌳 OCTOBER FOREST SCHOOL RETREAT 🌳🍂

A little photo shoot with some of the new Go Wild Warriors gear… and one of my young people decided to photobomb us ! 😂💚

And what a day for discovering nature — we even came across l believe a Huge Sword-grass moth! It looked like it was a piece of bark 🦋🌿

This is what Go Wild Warriors is all about — giving children and young people the freedom to explore, discover, spark curiosity and wonder in nature.

My October Forest School Retreat is coming up 20th–22nd October, with a few spaces still available.

Three days of woodland adventures, exploring, creating, campfires, nature and friendships connecting in nature 🍂🔥

Age 5+ | Beecraigs | 9.30am–3pm

The woodland is bursting with autumn magic. The leaves are changing colour and gently falling from the trees, conkers are tumbling from the beautiful horse chestnuts, acorns are appearing beneath the mighty oaks, and mushrooms and fungi are sprouting up everywhere! 🍄🌰🍂
There’s just something so exciting about this season. Nature gives us so many opportunities to explore, discover, learn and get creative — encouraging curiosity, imagination and a little bit of wild adventure along the way. 🌳💚

🍂 A lovely autumnal Wild Forest Friday! 🍂

Friday was such a wholesome session, filled with those little magical woodland moments. 💚

Ispent time bonding with Robina, our little robin friend, making conker soap 🧼🌰 and enjoying some mindful colouring of stones 🎨🪨.

It was one of those afternoons that reminds us how special it is to slow down, connect with nature and simply enjoy being outdoors. 🌳💚

🍁 Bookings are now open for October! 🍁

🌿 What a lovely morning foraging for hawthorn and rosehip berries with GatheredWild and the lovely Lauren@herbalhomestead🌿

It was so lovely to spend time with like-minded people, sharing knowledge, learning new
foraging skills and connecting with nature. 💚

Now I’m looking forward to enjoying my very own medicinal drink in 4 months’ time! 🍂🌿
