It is with the deepest sadness that we share the news that our much-loved DJ passed away during the summer holidays.

DJ lived a wonderful life, surrounded by love, care and happiness. He was a truly special part of our community, bringing comfort, joy and calm to so many students over the years. Whether they were grooming him, talking to him, spending quiet time by his side or simply enjoying his presence, DJ had a remarkable way of helping people feel safe, settled and understood.

He created countless cherished memories and touched the lives of everyone who knew him. His gentle nature, unwavering companionship and unique ability to connect with people made him so much more than a member of our community. He was a friend, a source of comfort and a trusted companion to many.

Though we will miss him dearly, we consider ourselves incredibly fortunate to have experienced so many wonderful memories alongside him. The love, joy and reassurance he gave so freely will never be forgotten.

DJ's legacy lives on in the memories he helped create and in the countless lives he touched.

Thank you for everything, DJ. You brought so much happiness, and you will always hold a special place in our hearts. ❤️

🐷🐐🦙 A lovely morning at the farm! 🦙🐐🐷

We were delighted to welcome residents from Greathed Manor Care Home for a special visit to St Piers Farm.

The group enjoyed meeting our animals, including the pigs, goats and alpacas, as well as helping with feeding time and horse grooming. It was wonderful to see so many smiles and to share the joy that animals can bring.

Thank you to everyone from Greathed Manor for visiting. We look forward to welcoming you back again soon! 💜

A huge congratulations to Alhena, the first student at St Piers to successfully complete the KAD programme! 🐾

KAD (Kids Around Dogs) helps people develop confidence, understanding and safe behaviours around dogs through structured, positive experiences.

When Alhena first joined the programme, she was very nervous around dogs. Through weekly sessions, she gradually built her confidence, trust and understanding, making incredible progress along the way.

Her achievement was recently put to the test during a college trip abroad when she met a dog she had never seen before. Thanks to the skills and confidence she had developed through the programme, Alhena was able to calmly approach, greet and stroke the dog – something that would have once felt impossible.

We are so proud of everything Alhena has achieved and the determination she has shown throughout her journey. What a fantastic example of how confidence can grow with patience, support and perseverance. 💜🐶✨

🎓✨ Celebrating the Class of 2026 ✨🎓

Last Friday, we came together to celebrate an important milestone as we wished our St Piers College leavers all the very best for the future at our Graduation and Awards Ceremony.

It was a wonderful afternoon filled with pride, reflection and celebration as students, families and staff gathered to recognise the achievements, progress and personal growth of our incredible young people. We were also delighted to present a range of awards to students who have gone above and beyond, showcasing determination, resilience, kindness and success throughout their time with us.

To all of our leavers – thank you for being such a valued part of the St Piers community. We are incredibly proud of everything you have achieved and can't wait to see what comes next.

⚽💜 A Huge Thank You to My Club Group! 💜⚽
We would like to say a huge thank you to The My Club Group for their incredibly generous donation of football kits to the students at St Piers School and College.
Thanks to their support, our students were delighted to receive 20 football kits and 2 goalkeeper kits, providing them with fantastic new equipment to wear with pride during training sessions, matches and sporting activities.
Sport plays an important role in helping our students build confidence, develop teamwork skills, stay active and most importantly have fun. Donations such as this help ensure that our students have access to high-quality equipment and opportunities to fully participate in the sports they enjoy.
We are incredibly grateful to The My Club Group for their kindness and support. Their generosity will have a lasting impact on our students and help inspire the next generation of players both on and off the pitch.

We’ve been lucky to receive support from some wonderful organisations over the past few weeks, and we wanted to share a little round-up to say a huge thank you.
Thank you to Orchard Nursery for donating lovely plants for our students to plant in the Horticulture Garden, and to VASE Networking and Coffee Morning for inviting St Piers to join the panel discussion on corporate volunteering and the benefits it brings to both charities and businesses.
We’re also incredibly grateful to our corporate volunteers from Cirium and LexisNexis, who joined us at St Piers to paint the entrance to the Sports Hall and help with gardening around the Sports Hall and tennis courts.
And a big thank you to Alexir, who came in to help with stock taking. We had a very productive afternoon and are so grateful for their ongoing support.
