Fox class enjoyed creating their designs for their recycled material models inspired by Michelle Reader in Art today! ๐พ
Yesterday we took part in the . Each class completed different scientific enquiries and explored themes such as โWhat is the most important animal of all?โ and โWhat do we know about minibeasts?โ ๐ฆ๐๐We had lots if fun and came together as a whole school community to share our findings. We hope lots of children came home and shared their findings either families, spreading knowledge to our community. ๐
Last week we had a very special visit from Bishop Nicholas, the acting Bishop of Lincoln. Accompanied by Reverend Lorna, he joined us for collective worship. We sang two of our favourite songs before Bishop Nicholas delivered the blessing. After meeting with our Awe & Wonder Council and Mrs Dickin, our Bishops Visitor, he took a tour of the school including looking at the windows we created during Holy Week. โ๏ธ
Team Branston you are amazing! Today we raise ยฃ119 for the by taking part in ๐Wear Yellow Day๐ This is a very special charity for us as. We were joined by one of our amazing mums, who talked to Squirrel Class all about cystic fibrous and what it means to live with this condition. The children loved working their lungs hard to blow up balloons. They created a giant poster to remember the things they learnt which included a rose ๐น โ65 rosesโ to remember โcystic fibrosisโ. Thank you to all our new families that joined us for our ๐งธ๐งบ Thank you for providing a delicious taster menu for our indoor picnic. It was great to see the children confidently playing in our Little Owls classroom & outdoor areas. We canโt wait for the children to join us again in a few weeks for transition day! ๐

Little Owls listened to โWhat a Wonderful Worldโ by Louis Armstrong in their RE lesson. Thry spoke about what in the world makes them say โWOWโ. With ideas of hailstone, rock pools and the trees. They then went outside to take in our world. They lay down in silence and used their senses and listened to the sounds of the windy trees, birds singing, they smelt the grass and leaves and felt trees. They observed clouds moving and the calm this brings. ๐

Today is ๐ฒ and our children came out on wheels in their numbers! 28 bikes and 35 scooters which totals 63 children actively travelling to school today. If we add this to the 36 children on the and our super star .pickles.official children, we have smashed our challenge today!
