SEN Practitioner Required – 3 Days Per Week

Digby Village Pre-School is looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated SEN Practitioner to join our fabulous team for 3 days per week.

Based in our small, friendly, and welcoming setting, this is a wonderful opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and helping them flourish during their early years.

The successful candidate will:

* Have experience working with children with additional needs.
* Be committed to promoting inclusion and ensuring every child reaches their full potential.
* Build positive relationships with children, families, and outside professionals.
* Work collaboratively as part of a supportive team.
* Help create a nurturing, stimulating, and engaging learning environment.

We loved celebrating world bee day at preschool 💛🐝🖤

The children loved making their own egg mayonnaise sandwiches today! 🥪🥚

After growing their own cress, they followed step-by-step instructions to prepare and assemble their sandwiches independently. This fun activity helped develop their confidence, listening skills, fine motor skills and understanding of healthy eating.

The children were so proud to taste the sandwiches they made themselves!🥪☺️

Forest school 🌳

What a fun filled Thursday 💚 Following on from our book of the week ‘sharing a shell 🐚’ we made our own hermit crab’s🦀, made popcorn over the fire, and celebrated a 3rd birthday🎂 while also enjoying all the other fun opportunities that Forest school has to offer 🌸

We have some very exciting news to share with all our families today! Please join us in giving a warm, leafy welcome to the newest member of the Digby Village Preschool family... Lexi the Tortoise! 🥳
Lexi is a curious 2.5-year-old who loves exploring, munching on snacks, and meeting new friends. 🥬🌼 She’s already settling into her new home and can’t wait to watch our little ones learn and play.
Having Lexi join us is a wonderful way for the children to:
• Learn about nature and animal care 🌿
• Develop gentle hands and empathy ❤️
• Observe growth and slow-paced wonder! ✨
The children will have plenty of chances to help look after her (and maybe even spot her having a mid-morning nap!). 💤

Earth day 🌏
Yesterday we brainstormed eco-friendly ideas to help save the planet! We also got our hands dirty planting some beautiful plants 🪴

Celebrating Mother's Day 🥐 with our wonderful families! 🌸 We had a fantastic brunch, played a fun game of Bingo, enjoyed some gorgeous daffodils 🌼, and were treated to a beautiful song by the children 🎵

📖 W O R L D B O O K D A Y ! 📖

Yesterday’s World Book Day celebrations were truly magical. Our classroom was filled with dragons, wizards, bats, princesses and so much more, as we celebrated the stories we love most. 🛸🦇 🐰🧙🏻🧙‍♀️❄️ 🦸

Highlights included a village-wide scavenger hunt to find our favorite Julia Donaldson friends 🔎 and exploring the out-of-this-world textures of our Smeds and Smoos tray! 🪐💚

We loved observing the children sit together, turning pages and sharing their favorite adventures with one another 📚❤️

There really is nothing better than getting lost in a story ✨
