Digby Village Pre School Digby Village Pre School has been operating for many years and re-registered in 2006 when it moved to its current location. Charity Number 1032999

It is a not-for-profit organisation and a registered charity. Operating from Digby Church of England Primary School premises, it uses a classroom within the school whilst also having access to the various school facilities including the hall and outside play areas. The location of the Pre School within the Primary School is an ideal stepping stone in preparing children for starting full time educa

tion. As to be expected, our relationship with Digby C of E Primary School is very close. The Pre School is managed by a volunteer committee, but employs experienced child care professionals to undertake the daily running of the facility. As a not-for-profit organisation, all fees and funding received, goes directly to pay all the regular business outgoings. Any ‘profit’ thereafter is channelled straight back into the Pre School to pay for replacing equipment, toys etc. The Pre School is run in accordance with Ofsted regulations and conforms to the Early Years Foundation practices. Toilet Training - We totally understand that not all children attending our setting will be fully toilet trained. Children in nappies are welcome at our Pre School with toilet training fully supported by our staff when parents decide to take that all important step.

It was filled with smiles, laughter and a few tears too... the happy and proud kind! 🥹✨

We are so incredibly proud of each and every one of our little graduates and all they have achieved during their time with us! Watching them grow in confidence, make friendships, and prepare for their next big adventure has been an absolute privilege 🥰

We wish all of our graduates the very best as they take their next exciting step into school, we can't wait to hear about all the amazing things you'll go on to do!

SEN Practitioner Required – 3 Days Per Week

Digby Village Pre-School is looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated SEN Practitioner to join our fabulous team for 3 days per week.

Based in our small, friendly, and welcoming setting, this is a wonderful opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and helping them flourish during their early years.

The successful candidate will:

* Have experience working with children with additional needs.
* Be committed to promoting inclusion and ensuring every child reaches their full potential.

The children loved making their own egg mayonnaise sandwiches today! 🥪🥚

After growing their own cress, they followed step-by-step instructions to prepare and assemble their sandwiches independently. This fun activity helped develop their confidence, listening skills, fine motor skills and understanding of healthy eating.

The children were so proud to taste the sandwiches they made themselves!🥪☺️

We have some very exciting news to share with all our families today! Please join us in giving a warm, leafy welcome to the newest member of the Digby Village Preschool family... Lexi the Tortoise! 🥳
Lexi is a curious 2.5-year-old who loves exploring, munching on snacks, and meeting new friends. 🥬🌼 She’s already settling into her new home and can’t wait to watch our little ones learn and play.
Having Lexi join us is a wonderful way for the children to:
• Learn about nature and animal care 🌿
• Develop gentle hands and empathy ❤️
• Observe growth and slow-paced wonder! ✨
The children will have plenty of chances to help look after her (and maybe even spot her having a mid-morning nap!). 💤
