DLD is when a child or adult has difficulties talking and/or understanding language. This hidden disability affects approximately two children in every classroom, affecting literacy, learning, friendships and emotional well-being.

This week has been largely fuelled by coffee…. Lots of coffee!!

✔️ 3 x Level 2 courses
✔️ 1 x Level 1 course
✔️ Makaton for Early Years settings
✔️ 12 hour paediatric first aid course

Join us for an engaging, practical and eye-opening two-day workshop exploring safeguarding through the lens of communication, relationships, choice and growing up.

We’ll explore a wide range of topics, including:

🔹 Body parts
🔹 Clothing
🔹 Places
🔹 Thoughts, feelings and behaviours
🔹 Bullying and abuse
🔹 Intimate matters

From behaviour to relationships, periods to puberty, toileting to transitions — we can talk about it all!

💡 But this workshop is about so much more than safeguarding.

We’ll explore how to teach abstract concepts using signs and symbols, making important information more accessible and meaningful.

You’ll leave with:

😮‍💨 time for a brew!
Sorry we’ve been a little quiet… we’ve been remarkably busy! Already this week we’ve done 2 module 1s, a module 3, a Makaton for Early Years Setting, a Using Makaton with Singing, a Taster, a complete level 1 and a session for HQ! 😮‍💨
