Born in Huddersfield in 1969 to migrant Punjabi parents. Satwinder has always been passionate about design. His knowledge of architecture means he brings insight and expertise as an architect, teacher, and broadcaster. Highlights include BAFTA award winning CBBC ‘The Dengineers’, designing new practice based courses at Sheffield University and winning international design projects with William Matthews Associates. Ultimately all his work promotes making architecture accessible to everyone.

Congratulations to our senior lecturer Dr.Jill Zhao to be invited as a judge for AJ Architecture Awards. She will be visiting the shortlisted projects over the summer and bring some fantastic case studies back to the classroom!
