☀️ Hot Weather Reminder ☀️
With the warm weather set to continue this week, please help your child stay safe and comfortable at school by ensuring they bring:
🧢 A named sun hat
💧 A named water bottle
🧴 Named sun cream (please apply before school and ensure your child can apply it independently if needed).
To help children stay cool during the warmer days, they are welcome to wear their school PE kit throughout the week. If the weather is cooler, children should return to wearing their usual school uniform.
Thank you for your support in helping us keep everyone happy, healthy and ready to learn during the hot weather. 🌞

🌸🔨 Mice and Woodpeckers had a wonderful time exploring nature through art today! 🔨🌸
We began by searching for colourful flowers in our Mystical Garden before carefully placing them between pieces of white fabric and hammering them to reveal their hidden colours and patterns. The children were fascinated as they watched the petals transfer their natural pigments onto the material, sparking lots of excitement, curiosity and discussion about what was happening.
This activity, known as Hapa Zome, is an ancient Japanese art form meaning "leaf dyeing". It involves gently pounding fresh leaves and flowers to transfer their beautiful shapes and colours directly onto fabric. The children loved discovering how nature can be used to create such unique artwork while developing their observation skills and creativity.
What a wonderful way to combine outdoor learning, art and a little bit of science! 🍃🌼✨

Yesterday, Year 1 and Year 2 had a fabulous day exploring Tattershall Castle in the glorious sunshine. The children enjoyed learning about the castle’s fascinating history, discovering what life was like in the past, and finding out about the different types of armour worn by knights. It was a fantastic day filled with learning, adventure, and wonderful memories. Lincoln Anglican Academy Trust

Our STEM Club took inspiration from Gustave Eiffel, the engineer behind the Eiffel Tower, and challenged the children to build strong structures using very limited materials — straws, one metre of masking tape, Blu Tack, paper clips and card.
Just like Gustave Eiffel, the children had to think creatively, test ideas quickly and make every piece count. Their designs were clever, sturdy and full of imagination.

🔬⚡ Year 3 & 4 Science ⚡🔬
This week in science, Year 3/4 became engineers as they explored how to build simple electrical circuits!
Using batteries, wires, bulbs and buzzers, the children investigated what makes a circuit work. They discovered that electricity only flows when there is a complete circuit—and had lots of fun testing different circuit setups to see which ones lit up and which didn’t.
Alongside this, the children have also been taking part in our exciting STEMAZING programme. So far they have explored how shapes affect strength and design and have created spinners and have investigated how air interacts with objects. Lincoln Anglican Academy Trust

Our brand‑new Pokémon Club launched yesterday, and what an amazing start it was!
Children from Year 1 to Year 6 spent the afternoon trading cards, colouring their favourite characters, chatting, watching clips, and proudly showing off their collections.
The best part was seeing how kind, excited, and supportive they were with one another — helping younger pupils, sharing knowledge, and celebrating everyone’s favourites.
We’re already looking forward to next week’s session!

Our STEM Club took inspiration from pioneering engineer Emily Warren Roebling, who helped complete the Brooklyn Bridge. Children worked in teams to design and build their own bridges using limited materials.
• Team One: cardboard, paper, paper clips
• Team Two: garden sticks, lollipop sticks
Both teams also used scissors and cellotape.
Each group created a strong, creative structure, but Team One were the winners. Their bridge included rails and had the most aesthetically pleasing design.
