Lovely time at Fillingham pumpkin patch and maize maze this morning. 🎃

Over the last 2 days our little learners have had a wonderful time exploring the Festival of Lights! 🪔✨ They learned all about Diwali traditions, made their own beautiful Diya lamps, and practiced fine motor skills and early writing by exploring colourful rangoli patterns. They also had a go at some traditional dancing.

At the start of last week, the children used their imaginations with playdough to make their very own ice creams 🍦 The children loved exploring textures and role play while working those fine motor skills.
Later in the week, we took the fun one step further into real life by making our very own fruit smoothie ice lollies! 🍓🍌 The children did some brilliant chopping, mashing and stirring and were so excited to taste their healthy frozen treats once they set.

This week so far we have picked blackberries, painted with their juice, made soft purple playdough, and baked warm blackberry muffins. The children loved every messy moment—sticky fingers, stained hands and sweet berry fun.
