Muddy Puddles Daycare I am a childminder working from my home in Skellingthorpe. My aim is to provide a safe and stimulating environment, where children can play happily.

I offer care for children aged from 6 weeks to 8yrs, I follow the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum for all children within the Early Years Age Group. I offer drop off and pick ups from The Holt Primary School in Skellingthorpe. My hours of work are 8am-5.30pm on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. I offer term time only, out of term time and full year contracts. A typical day at my s

etting would involve a trip to a local toddler group, play parks, soft play areas and such like where the children can participate in lots of fun activities and explore their local surroundings. I also provide children with outdoor play, messy play, free time play, singing and story time. I aim to provide a home from home environment where children can play safely and happily and allow them grow and develop individually. I also work closely with other childminders in the same village and we regularly get together, this allows the children to have lots of children to play with and means that there is often someone of a similar age for them to mix with. We often have trips out together and regularly plan summer trips and parties for the children to enjoy.

Over the last 2 days our little learners have had a wonderful time exploring the Festival of Lights! 🪔✨ They learned all about Diwali traditions, made their own beautiful Diya lamps, and practiced fine motor skills and early writing by exploring colourful rangoli patterns. They also had a go at some traditional dancing.

At the start of last week, the children used their imaginations with playdough to make their very own ice creams 🍦 The children loved exploring textures and role play while working those fine motor skills.
Later in the week, we took the fun one step further into real life by making our very own fruit smoothie ice lollies! 🍓🍌 The children did some brilliant chopping, mashing and stirring and were so excited to taste their healthy frozen treats once they set.

This week so far we have picked blackberries, painted with their juice, made soft purple playdough, and baked warm blackberry muffins. The children loved every messy moment—sticky fingers, stained hands and sweet berry fun.
