When adding numbers, try to use a column method where you line all the tens, hundreds, etc up. It makes it harder if they are wiggly down the page!

Consecutive numbers are numbers that are next to each other when you are counting. For example, 4 and 5 are consecutive but 4 and 7 are not consecutive.

Prime numbers only have 2 factors; themselves and 1.
So, 7 is a prime number because it’s factors are 1 and 7 but 27 is not a prime number because it’s factors are 1, 3, 9 and 27.

If you struggle with sums like 20 ÷ 4, think of an example – let’s say you have 20 sweets and you share them equally between 4 friends, how many sweets would each friend get?
