Thank You for Supporting Our Book Bus Visit!

A huge thank you to all the parents and families who supported today's visit from The Book Bus. Thanks to your generosity and enthusiasm, we received over £250 worth of free books for our school.

As a school, we are incredibly proud of the enjoyment and pleasure our children gain from reading. Fostering a love of books is a key part of our school community, and these new additions to our library and classrooms will provide even more opportunities for our children to discover new stories, develop their imaginations, and strengthen their reading skills.

Thank you once again for your support. Your contributions make a real difference and help us continue to nurture a lifelong love of reading in our children.

This week, we were delighted to welcome our service families for a special afternoon. They enjoyed making their own afternoon tea together and, of course, sampling their delicious creations! It was a fantastic opportunity for families to spend quality time together, a huge thank you goes to Jocelyn and Harriet from Cook Stars Bingham to Hykeham for leading such an enjoyable and engaging afternoon.

Congratulations to all those pupils who shared out of school achievements with us today. This week, we celebrated achievements in: Parkrun, Rugby, Football, Cheer, Swimming, Gymnastics and Violin. A huge well done to them all!

Congratulations to all of the children who received a certificate of achievement this week. A huge well done to them all!

Earlier this week, we were lucky enough to be visited by former Olympic gymnast Sam Oldham. Sam was part of Team GB and won bronze at the London 2012 Olympics. He also represented Great Britain in the 2014 Commonwealth Games, winning a gold medal at the competition.

Sam shared his journey as a child- from trying gymnastics for the first time all the way to Olympic glory. His message was one of ambition, passion and resilience to never give up and follow something that is loved.

Pupils got the opportunity to work on their own gymnastics skills with Sam during the day, as well as holding his Olympic medal and the Olympic torch from London 2012.
