SoundLincs needs your support.

Every day, we use the power of music to improve lives across the East Midlands. We work with carers, care-experienced young people, people involved with the justice system, individuals experiencing poor mental health, people living with dementia, and many others who can benefit from creative support.

Our programmes help people build confidence, reduce isolation, improve wellbeing and connect with their communities through music. But we couldn't do it without the generosity of our supporters.

Whether you choose to donate, fundraise or volunteer, your support helps us reach more people and create lasting positive change through music.

Find out how you can get involved: https://www.soundlincs.org/fundraising-volunteering

If you're unable to support financially, simply sharing this post is another valuable way to help us reach more people and raise awareness of the difference music can make.

On Saturday, the 14th annual FAB! Awards took place in Lincoln, celebrating the outstanding achievements of care-experienced children and young people from across Lincolnshire.

Managed by SoundLincs on behalf of Lincolnshire County Council, the FAB! Awards recognise the dedication, resilience and accomplishments of young people in care and care leavers.

This year, we received more than 1,500 nominations across a wide range of categories, including Perseverance, Creativity, Achievement and Making a Difference. The sheer number of nominations reflects the incredible talent, determination and positive impact of young people throughout the county.

Congratulations to everyone who was nominated and to all of this year's award winners. You should be incredibly proud of your achievements.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this year's event such a success. We look forward to celebrating even more inspiring stories at FAB! 2027.

SoundLincs can turn £1 into £12.48!

It sounds like magic, but it's true: by creating economic opportunities and mitigating social costs, every donation to SoundLincs generates over twelve times its value in real-world impact.

How do we know this? Using data and feedback from our projects, we've completed a rigorous internal investigation to calculate our Social Return on Investment. This is a standard measure of a charity's impact.

You can learn more about how it works in the recently-published evaluation of our Connect project at https://www.soundlincs.org/post/project-deep-dive.

This week is Volunteers' Week! I'm Ari, a volunteer at SoundLincs, and I wanted to share what I've achieved since I started almost a year ago.

I've kept the social media going with regular posts; designed five new flyers for our projects; kept the website up to date and supported the team with other design tasks.

Volunteering at SoundLincs has helped me to develop my skills and build confidence in a flexible way. Throughout my life, I've been a participant in SoundLincs projects, so it feels like a good way to help give other people the same great experiences.

Volunteers support SoundLincs in many different ways — admin, design, maintenance and more — and we're always happy to welcome more. If you have time, skills and energy that you would like to give, please visit soundlincs.org/fundraising-volunteering for more information.

One in two people will be affected by dementia at some point in their lives, either by developing the condition themselves or by caring for someone who has it. If this affects you or someone you love, you’ll know how frightening and isolating the journey can feel.

But no one should face it alone.

At SoundLincs, we believe in the power of music to support people living with dementia. Music can help build and maintain relationships, reduce anxiety, and even unlock memories and connections to the past.

Memory Lane is our relaxed, dementia-friendly singing group for seniors and carers in Grantham and South Witham. Every month, we come together to enjoy music, singing, and conversation in a welcoming and supportive environment.

If you’d like to join us, sessions can be booked via our website: soundlincs.org/attend-workshop, or you can call us on 01522 510073 for more information.

Please help us reach more people by sharing this post. Together, we can show people living with dementia and their carers that support is available, and that they are not alone.

Has this hot weather got you missing the winter months?

We are delighted to share that SoundLincs is an official Charity Partner for this year's Lincoln Santa Fun Run! Every year, hundreds of people dress up as Santa and get together in central Lincoln to run for charity.

It's a great chance for people of all ages to have fun and make a difference during the holidays, and yes — hats and suits are provided!

This year, it's planned for Sunday 13th December, but sign-ups open at the beginning of June. If you're planning to participate, you can support our mission directly by selecting SoundLincs as your chosen charity when purchasing your tickets.

For every adult entry, £10 is donated to help us bring more creativity, joy, and support to individuals across Lincolnshire.
