The NED Show visited us today, and what a fantastic response from the children, they were absolutely mesmerised!
Our school-wide character education programme centres around The NED Show, a fun and engaging 45-minute assembly featuring NED, a lovable cartoon character whose name stands for:

The performance was full of energy, laughter, and powerful messages that really inspired our pupils. It was wonderful to see them so engaged from start to finish! π

Our Year 2 children have been getting their hands wonderfully messy as they created their own clay relief tiles! π¨π
Bringing their history learning to life, the children explored how these tiles have been used throughout time, sometimes telling religious stories and sometimes serving as beautiful decorative pieces. They carefully shaped, carved, and designed their own tiles, showing fantastic creativity and attention to detail.
It has been amazing to see their knowledge come alive through art, and we are so proud of the effort and enthusiasm they have shown.
Well done, Year 2, we are so proud of you! β¨

Our lovely local ducks came to visit us again today, this time in Reception! π¦
Mummy Duck proudly led all 12 of her ducklings as they explored our outdoor area. They waddled along the race track and even stopped to inspect our trikes, much to the childrenβs delight!
The children were so excited to see them and noticed how much the ducklings have grown since their last visit. We used this special moment to talk about how Mummy Duck keeps her babies safe, reminding us that she is very protective and needs plenty of space.
To make sure everyone stayed safe and calm, the children watched the ducks from inside the classroom. We also linked this experience to our own lives, discussing how young children need to stay close to their trusted adults to keep safe.
A wonderful real life learning experience for our Reception class! πΏπ

πΎ A Special Visit from Our Local Vets! πΎ
Yesterday, our Class 1 children had a truly wonderful afternoon welcoming our friendly local vets into school! π©ΊπΆπ±
The children listened carefully to an engaging presentation, asked lots of thoughtful and curious questions, and even enjoyed some hands-on experiences. It was fantastic to see their enthusiasm and confidence grow throughout the session!
Visits like this provide such valuable learning opportunities in EYFS. The children explored how to care for animals and learned about the important role vets play in our community. They developed their communication skills by listening and asking questions, while also deepening their understanding of the world around them especially animal health, safety, and wellbeing.
Most importantly, the experience inspired kindness, empathy, and a love for animals. Real life, hands on learning like this makes such a lasting impression, and we are so grateful to our visiting vets for making the afternoon so memorable! π
Thank you, Hannah, Berkan and Ivan for an inspiring visit! π
