Justine, an au pair for a local family, and I spent quite a bit of time together over the winter months.

Although Lincoln Study Centre is no longer offering English lessons in the classroom, we are still offering cultural experiences in and around Lincoln. Here is a "snapshot" of what we have been doing over the past year with various visiting students and au pairs.

Great to have Maria and Coralie joining us recently. We continued the Elmer trail and then explored the university campus giving us lots of new vocabulary.

Having said goodbye to Charline and Laura recently, we now say hello to Ombeline from Bourges in France. We met to get to know each other yesterday and also enjoyed part of the Elmer the Elephant trail. We look forward to exploring more together when Maria and Coralie join us.

We certainly chose the right day to visit the International Bomber Command Centre on the outskirts of Lincoln! We spent the first half of the lesson in the cafe drinking coffee and talking about the military, its importance in Lincolnshire and Sheren's own experience of serving in the RAF. Afterwards, we enjoyed exploring the site and learning all about the memorial including the new addition of the Anderson shelter (a protective space in the garden during air raids). An excellent day!
