In these trying times, the stress of university is just one of the many things we all have to tackle at the moment. While our society is postponing all social events, we still want to use our platform for good...

All of our committee will be at hand via online messaging and email if you have ANY questions regarding uni work, or if you just need a friendly face to chat to. We’re working on developing some other methods in which we can provide help to you all - if anyone has any suggestions please send them to us!

We also encourage you all to use the page and group chat to keep in contact with each other, whether it be to help each other with assignments or simply to stay social.

Self-isolation does not mean we have to feel isolated. Remember that you always have someone to reach out to ❤️

Hi everyone!

In light of the recent news today of all university teaching being now taught online, alongside our cancellation of our monetary policy competition and the advice from Government/NHS to avoid public gatherings... We regret to announce that we will not be hosting any more social events until the Easter break.

If the university decide to return to the usual teachings then we will also return to our usual schedule, however your safety is our priority.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended our bar crawl, and for all your continued support throughout the year. We’re really hoping we can bring you all at least one more event before the year is up! 💜

Growing the membership to 35 for our second year of running as a society (members come from not just economics courses but other LIBS disciplines and even other schools!)

External outreach (e.g. Inviting Rethinking Economics to do a talk, inviting Government Economic Service workers to do a talk, visit to Lincolnshire County Council offices)

Joint collaborative with/ inviting other UoL Societies to events (e.g. ECO, Women in Work)

Supporting LIBS (e.g International Week and Open Days)

Close to earning Bronze Feather status from SU

Establishing an academic support network (e.g. library study groups)

Wide range of socials to cater for all (e.g. movie nights, quizzes, nights out)
