Congratulations to our 3rd Year Photography students for launching ‘Vision 2020’ - an online exhibition of their final degree projects:

The students had originally planned to host a physical exhibition on campus as part of their degree show, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic this was no longer possible. The students have responded to the set-back by working collaboratively to produce this fantastic online exhibition!

Level 2 BA Photography students have worked collaboratively to produce a digital symposium responding to the theme of 'Growth' from environmental, social and personal perspectives: https://growthsymposium.co.uk/
The website they have produced hosts their group presentations, as well as a keynote by London based photographer Harry Rose (https://harry-rose.format.com/about)
Students have explored the role of photography in relation to a diverse range of issues including; loss of natural habits in Africa, the re-emergence of wildlife in Chernobyl, the body positivity movement, participatory photography and wellbeing, veganism, mental health and the impact of social media upon the individual. Photography produced as part of their second year practice modules is also available to view on the site.
The Symposium is a space for discussion on the diverse medium of photography, its’ conceptuality and application, methods of communication, converging and diverging notions of dissemination and presentation and the future of the medium itself.
