Lincoln Chinese School Lincoln Chinese School is a voluntary organisation offering Mandarin and Cantonese courses. We have experienced teachers and wonderful students.

Lincoln Chinese School is a voluntary organisation that was established by the local Chinese community in 1995. We offer both Mandarin and Cantonese courses, with a wide range of ages attending our school. Though our students are predominantly of Chinese heritage, the school encourages and welcomes students from all cultural backgrounds. Every year we hold activities based on Chinese traditions, c

ulture and legends, including the Chinese New Year Festival and Mid-Autumn Festival! If you're interested in learning Chinese for work, improvement or just for fun - contact us! All are welcome!

Brief History of Lincoln Chinese School:

This school was founded on the basis that many Chinese families at the time didn't have a place to teach their children Chinese. It was difficult to provide an education in a culture so rich and a language that had spanned the ages. Thus parents banded together and formed this school in hopes that the highlights of Chinese tradition, culture and language won't be forgotten. Over the years, the students became more diverse as interest in Chinese grew. Many families from different backgrounds wanted to provide their children with a linguistic advantage. We welcome you to become a part of our family.

July 18th 2021, Lincoln Chinese School held our annual graduation ceremony.

As a school, we are extremely grateful for all the work, time and patience that parents, students and staff put in during this different time.

Covid-19 has affected all of our lives immensely and we can't thank you all enough for working with us to carry on chinese school during this difficult time.
We started off the year not really knowing what virtual lessons would be like. It has been wonderful seeing all your faces (even if it's through a screen!)

We can't wait to see you all in September!

FOR THE STUDENTS OF THE CHINESE ADULT CLASS ONLY.

Dear All,
Lincoln Chinese School will reopen on Sunday 6th September.
Due to Covid-19, we will be teaching online.

Students from 2019-2020 will be automatically transferred to the new school year.
Each student in the adult class (who has already paid the full school year tuition for 2019/2020:￡150) will be given a discount and now only needs to pay ￡50 for the new whole school year 2020/2021.
Payment complete before September 13th.
The online class time in the new school year will be similar to what it would be like if we were face-to-face.

If you have any difficulties or inquiries, please do not hesitate to bring up it so we can discuss it together.

Attention to all parents,
Since the suspension of classes in March, we have been preparing for online teaching for the next school year, and our teachers are also preparing for transformational learning, preparing to conduct online classes teaching in the new school year.

The closing and reopening of our school will be inaccordance to government guidelines, because this pandemic has brought a lot of unease towards the community. Our chinese school will put the health and safety of students first, fully respect the opinions of parents, and strive to provide students with an safe environment for continuing to learn Chinese and Chinese culture.
Due to the impact of the epidemic this school year, our school was unable to complete the current period of study, so the school has decided to postpone the course to the next school year and retain the degree for the students in this year. We will release the teaching plan and arrangements for the next school year soon. If an individual student cannot continue to participate in the study for some reason, they can ask the school and this will be dealt with in a unified manner based on the student's situation this year when the school starts in September.
Please take into consideration that this school belongs to everyone! Parents are welcome to make suggestions for school work.
We also plan to expand the community’s network contacts, organize online parent meetings, organize student online activities, share and enrich our lives, and provide our school students with richer online learning and communication resources. We are promoting the Chinese proficiency test and YCT HSK test, so that students can further strengthen the exchange and learning work between our school and students in Chinese, British and international Chinese schools in terms of inheriting Chinese culture.
Our goal as a school is to provide a place for children and local people who are interested in Chinese and Chinese culture to communicate and learn Chinese on-site and online.
Our school has overcome many difficulties and persevered, and will continue to run with everyone's support.

On Sunday 7th July, the Lincoln Chinese School held an annual end of year ceremony where we enjoyed an afternoon if award giving and performances from alk the students of the School. This was a great way to celebrate the end of a school year and await for the beginning of the next! Thank you to all the parents who come and help out every Sunday, to all the teachers for the eagerness to help children learn Chinese and to the students for being the future of our Chinese School. Thank you!

All parents, we decided to cancel our Day Trip to Markeaton Park on 7th July. We will change our plan for next two weekends.
