Pupil Parliament Update
We are proud to share the fantastic work our School Council has been doing as part of the L.E.A.D. Academy Trust Pupil Parliament! Our representatives gathered the views of pupils across the academy to discuss an important motion:
“Does the L.E.A.D. Academy Trust do enough to support its pupils to flourish and thrive?”
After listening to students’ voices, we were pleased to support the motion, as pupils continue to feel well supported both academically and personally. As well as celebrating what’s already working, our pupils also shared brilliant ideas to make things even better linked to Wellbeing and Mental Health, Physical Activity and Enrichment and Real-World Learning Opportunities.
Our Pupil Parliament representative confidently presented these views, showing how powerful student voice can be in shaping the future of our school and the wider Trust.
We are incredibly proud of everyone representing our academy so thoughtfully and making sure every pupil’s voice is heard.

Linked to our Careers Week, where we aim to inspire pupils and broaden their understanding of different career paths, Zach Abbott visited the academy to give pupils an insight into life as a professional footballer, highlighting the dedication, resilience, and skills required to succeed.
Zach delivered a truly inspiring assembly for Key Stage 2, where he spoke about his journey, experiences, and what inspired him to pursue a career in football. He highlighted the values needed to succeed in the sport and encouraged our pupils to never give up on their dreams.
A memorable experience, motivating us to believe in ourselves and inspiring us to follow our own aspirations.

Expert Designers at Work!
Over this term year 1 have been working as expert designers to design and make moving pictures. The purpose of their DT project was to create moving pictures for the children at Ark Waddington to enjoy.
This week, they got to share them with the children from the nursery. The children used their knowledge of mechanisms to help to teach the younger children how to make their own moving pictures to take home.

Outdoor adventures!
Over the past few weeks, the children have thoroughly enjoyed their outdoor learning experiences. They have been actively developing their gross motor skills through activities such as using didicars and bicycles. In the mud kitchen, their creativity has flourished as they have enthusiastically created imaginative recipes, including cucumber soup and raspberry pie. The children have also taken pride in caring for their environment, showing great initiative as they helped to w**d and maintain our outdoor areas. We look forward to continuing our outdoor exploration next term!

Design and Technology- Delicious Seasonal Tarts.
Our Year 3 chefs have been busy creating delicious, healthy seasonal tarts! As part of their learning, the children explored the importance of buying seasonal vegetables and how this supports both health and sustainability.
They developed their food preparation skills by carefully learning how to chop, grate and slice safely. Working as nutritionists, the pupils then designed their own healthy snack in groups before stepping into the role of chefs to follow their recipes and bring their ideas to life.
It was wonderful to see so many children trying new foods, and even better to hear that many are excited to recreate their tasty creations at home!
