Our International Business Management student Archie shared with us his current Study Abroad experience in Alicante, Spain. Read his story below 👇

"Since arriving in Alicante I have tried a vast range of tapas and traditional Spanish dishes. Trying a new type of paella at a different restaurant has become a Saturday afternoon tradition. 🥘🍤

Every weekend we try and dedicate at least one day to discovering somewhere new. This could be a new beach, town or city. Besides Alicante, Valencia is the most beautiful place I have seen as we took part in the famous festival ‘Las Fallas’. 🎉

I have met some incredible new people and now have friends from just about every country I can think of. My closest friends are from Holland, France, England, Ireland, Uruguay, Brazil, Sweden and Denmark. 🌎

The overall scenery of Spain has by far been the most impressive part. One of my favourite things to do in Alicante is to take a hike to the top of the local castle. The views are amazing!"⛱️☀️

Experience Turkish Culture at the Turkish Culture Day!

The event is ran by Erkan, our Turkish academic in Financial Economics, guests from the Turkish community and the Global Experiences to experience traditional Games, Learn Turkish Language, Listen to traditional instruments, experience marble art and enjoy Turkish food!

Come and get involved! All donations from the event will go towards the Türkiye and Syria Red Cross Earthquake appeal!

"I thought Alicante was a beautiful city, it was very hot! My main highlights were meeting new people and experiencing new cultures. I made friends with other Erasmus students through events and my classes taught in English. I improved my Spanish and became more independent, and I would recommend studying abroad!" ✈️

Are you looking for a Summer School abroad? ☀️📚

The University of Padua ,Italy, offers a summer programme from 3 to 28 July 2023 (4 weeks). It will include lectures, workshops and interactive group activities and it will grant the participants with 6 ECTS. Courses in Italian language will also be offered as part of the School.

"I am currently in Sweden completing a research traineeship in dermatology and venerology at Uppsala University.

I decided to do this traineeship as part of my placement year. It has been 2 weeks since I have moved here and I am loving it.

I live in a student accommodation and I have already made so many new friends from all around the world!

I am glad I went with this decision of moving to a different country and gaining wonderful research skills from one of the best universities in Sweden. I cannot wait for the upcoming adventures" 🌎
