Using natural resources to make words, the Rabbits worked on creating their names. They had to think carefully about the shapes needed to make different letters and use their finger strength to tear leaves and break small sticks.
Rabbits have also been looking at the text ‘Rumble in the Jungle’. The children have been very busy practising their skills in provision and even came up with their own game where someone drew an animal and the other children had to guess what it was. If you guessed correctly, it was your turn next!
Hedgehogs had one of their super readers use their fabulous reading skills to read the end of day story to the class.
Our week got off to a fantastic start on Monday afternoon with the Squirrels and Badgers classes showcasing their musical talents in their Samba Showcase. The children did an incredible job and should all be extremely proud of themselves. They worked brilliantly as teams on a variety of instruments, demonstrated excellent concentration, and remembered their parts so well to create a truly super performance.
Badgers and Squirrels also had an exciting day on Wednesday when they welcomed an extra-special visitor to school. The children were transported back in time to learn all about the Vikings and Anglo-Saxons. They discovered lots about life during these fascinating periods of history and enjoyed a variety of engaging activities throughout the day.
