It's hard to believe but, with the end of this term drawing to a close, I will be completing 10 years of Ms Siri Private Tutor! And with this milestone, I am a little sad to report that I'll be taking a break from tuition to focus on my growing family. This means that I won't be taking on any students in the academic year 25-26. In a year or so's time, I hope to be back, though, so watch this space and I'll be looking forward to finding out how this years' GCSE students did in August. Have a wonderful summer everyone! ###

I've been a bit quiet on the comms recently... but it's all business as usual. I was super proud of my students who did an incredible job this year - everyone passed and there were some brilliant 7s, 8s and even 9s - and now it's back to the fresh start September offers and lots of settling in to be done. I've got a couple of spaces left in my timetable and so, if anyone knows anyone y7-11 who would like a little help in English, hit me up!

And breathe! Literature done. Just English Language to go! Wishing all my GCSE English students the absolute best of luck for their first literature exam. You are going to totally smash it, guys! I love you all and I'm just devastated (and I think I may be alone here) that there's going to be a 95% drop in the amount of Shakespeare I'm teaching after tomorrow 🥹😆

It's been an interesting January and I'd like to congratulate two students (anonymously) who I've said goodbye to this month. One of my retake students managed to improve their GCSE score by 3 whole grades (which I think might be a record) and also a second student, who I've been coaching through the Trinity College B1 English Language Speaking exam, achieved a well deserved BB: Merit! Onwards, February!

It's been an unbelievably tough couple of years and 2022's year 11s have done amazingly to manage the weight of constant assessment and then the first round of full, externally assessed GCSEs with such absolute grit. Wishing all my students amazing results today and, whatever happens, you're brilliant! ###

The final GCSE English exams take place this week wrapping up with Language paper 2 on Friday. Best of luck to all my wonderful GCSE students who have worked so hard through an incredibly turbulent couple of years. Not long now!
