It’s a reflective time for year 6, who are thinking about the end of their time with us next week. In their outdoor learning session this week, we headed into the woods to keep cool. We all enjoyed feeling calm among the trees and the mindful task of making nature art beneath the canopy was a fantastic way to collaborate and reflect with friends. As our year 6 children head off to secondary school, we hope that they can hold on to the knowledge that being outdoors, immersed in nature, brings a truly special feel good factor!

Year 3 went to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park last week! Our geography topic has been biomes and we discovered so many different species from different biomes 🌳🏜️🌵❄️

Year 3 have been enjoying some exciting outdoor learning lessons over the summer term! From finding out about pollination and pollinator friendly plants 🌺 to gardening and growing vegetables 🥔. As the term continued, they had a visit from a bee 🐝 keeper and harvested their potatoes! A busy term learning about all the connections between nature and our food. 🌍
