⭐ Well done to all of our Values Award winners today ⭐

These awards celebrate children who have shown one of our school values through the way they learn, behave, and support others each day. It is always lovely to see values such as hope, endurance, compassion, and Koinonia shining through around school.

This week, some of KS2 have been enjoying lots of hands-on learning and technology activities! 💻✨

The children used K’nex to investigate gears and levers, Lego WeDo to practise coding skills, and Makey Makey to complete circuits and create a piano using different materials — including bananas! 🍌🎹 Some children also chose to use Lego to create their own movies.

It has been wonderful to see so much creativity, curiosity, teamwork, and problem-solving on display — a great example of our Believe and Achieve vision in action 💛

The children are already beginning to embrace our OPAL Play journey! 🎢✨

Today, the playground became an imaginary roller coaster ride, filled with creativity, teamwork, laughter, and imaginative play.

It has been lovely to see the children using their imaginations, playing together, and having so much fun — a great example of our Believe and Achieve vision in action 💛

Today was an early start as 55 children from Years 4, 5, and 6 set off for their residential trip to the Isle of Wight! 🌧️⛴️

They may have left in the rain, but the crossing was smooth and everyone arrived excited and ready for a fantastic week ahead.

What a brilliant opportunity for the children to build independence, confidence, friendships, and memories that will last a lifetime — all part of helping our children flourish through our Believe and Achieve vision 💛

We can’t wait to hear all about their adventures… and next year, it’s London!

Year 4 have had an amazing Viking themed outdoor learning day today! We began our day by joining our Viking clan- we used the knowledge of this Viking region to create our shields ready for battle later on… 🪓🛡️It’s clear to see who was in each clan!

We then used the palm drills to create rune necklaces.

We finished off the day with constructing some Viking longships! This took a lot of teamwork, endurance and muscle 💪🏼!

Year 4 are now able and enthused to dive further into their Viking topic- armed with knowledge they have been developing of Saxon Britain this term, they are now certainly ready to hear of the Viking invasions that came next…

We are so excited to be beginning our OPAL Play journey! 🌿🎉

OPAL fits perfectly with our Believe and Achieve vision, helping children to flourish through play, creativity, teamwork, and friendship, while living out values such as Koinonia, hope, and endurance.

This week, we are playing OPAL Bingo as we continue gathering resources for our playtimes. If you are able to help with any of the items on our bingo cards, we would be hugely grateful for your support 💛

A special mention to Year 6, who were recognised for showing all of our values during SATs week. We are very proud of the way they supported and encouraged one another throughout the week 💛

A wonderful example of our Believe and Achieve vision in action.
