As a Body Image Therapist Iโve learned over the last 5 years
women donโt need to spend more time loving their bodies
but women do need to spend less time thinking about them

Slow Run Club is back ๐ง ๐ณ๐โโ๏ธ
At our run club nobody gets left behind (I stay at the back), you can walk whenever you want, and you definitely donโt need to look or run a certain way to join us!
โSlowโ means something different to everyone. The aim isnโt to keep up, push through, or prove anything. Itโs simply to move at a pace that feels comfortable for you - youโll never be too slow for the Slow Run Club!
Come as you are. No pressure. No judgement of yourself or others ๐ Just fresh air & movement in nature with a group of women all doing something nice for themselves โจ

On its own intentional weight loss isnโt bad, itโs just if all the other stuff comes with it, it is actually having a much bigger impact on mental health than maybe our society realises.
We need to start questioning if placing such a high value on appearance and weight is really worth it?

Time for a change!
Starting this week Iโm adding an extra day to my work hours and stopping Saturday mornings (This change is allowing me to host the Slow Run Club on a Sunday morning!)
New working hours are:
Monday & Tuesday evening
Monday & Thursday day time
I am based in Lincoln ๐ฌ๐ง but all of my sessions are via Zoom call, you can live anywhere in the world.
Thursday mornings are already full, but I have some other slots now available.

2025 marks 5 years of supporting women to heal their body image & relationship with food!
Although this page has been a bit neglected (maternity leave + therapist training ๐๐ผโโ๏ธ), Iโve had the best time working with theee most wonderful clients! They tell me our sessions have changed their lives - mainly because food & body thoughts no longer dictate how they live ๐๐ผ supporting women to feel liberated & at peace in their own minds ๐ I truly have the best job in the world ๐ฉท
From January, Iโve got 1 evening and 1 Saturday morning space for new clients, and Iโm excited to be part of the Move & Empower Pilates event on 11th Jan ๐งโโ๏ธ๐ง โจ

I finished up for Christmas last night!! ๐
๐ฝ But just wanted to say if you struggle with body image and food noise - the constant fight in your head, feeling torn between wanting to enjoy it and feeling guilty worrying if you do.
Please remember, you donโt need to earn Christmas, this isnโt the only time youโre allowed to eat chocolate, slow down and experience it all, you donโt need to justify joy!
