Our Riseholme Park Farm team, Matt Bagley and Lizzy Wells, do a fantastic job all year round, but particularly during when they support numerous students at both the University of Lincoln and Riseholme College. Students are invited to get hands on and valuable experience during the busiest time of the year.
Watch a video including some brilliant testimonials from our students below:

Riseholme Lambing event paused
The University of Lincoln has taken the decision to pause our Lambing event at Riseholme Park Farm for Spring 2024, in light of the recent national increase in cases of the livestock specific disease Schmallenberg. Although we have not identified any cases in our flock, pausing our Lambing event for this year will allow our farm team to safeguard their wellbeing. Educational activities at the farm will continue as usual. We look forward to bringing back our Riseholme Lambing event in the future, bigger and better than ever.

A beautiful, if chilly, day for the District Cross Country!
29/11/2023
On Friday 1 December, we are pleased to welcome back the Lincolnshire Schools Cross Country event, featuring over 10 schools, and up to 400 students at Riseholme Park.
The Cross Country will take place around the Parkland (Old Golf Course) and also the top permissive footpath. Activity will be taking place around the fields up the track from the Rural Science Centre.
There will be a Tannoy system in place up the track, where race announcements will take place. There may be some intermittent noise disruption, but we found last year that this was manageable. Coaches will enter site via the Riseholme Lane entrance and traffic will be managed by the race organisers, these will be staggered. The busiest traffic times will be at about 09:00 - 10:00 and 13:00 - 14:00 respectively.
The permissive footpath will be closed for all except race participants during this event. There may be some intermittent disruption to access of the public bridleway, but race organisers will ensure there is still access - walkers may just have to wait for a few minutes at a time.
Please don't hesitate to contact us at [email protected] if you have any queries.

Good morning from a very sunny Riseholme!
We've had a few people pop over to the farm recently and whilst we appreciate the enthusiasm to visit, we are a working farm supporting the education of University of Lincoln and Riseholme College students. Unfortunately, we're not currently open daily to the public.
If you'd like to visit us, our next public open day will be in Spring 2024 during Lambing season.
Any and all updates on upcoming open events will be advertised via our social media and the estates.lincoln.ac.uk website.
