What a great day yesterday supporting the Year 10 students at Chase Terrace Academy with their mock interviews.

I had some great conversations with students who were thinking about their futures - with students wanting to do everything ranging from mechanics to animation to the director of NASA! It was lovely to hear their hopes and dreams for the future as well as giving them practical advice on what to do next.

One of my Year 10 students said something lovely to me recently.
She told me: "The only reason I'm good at mental maths is because you tutor me."🥹

I don't think that's entirely true—I think she was already very capable. But what made me smile was knowing that she now sees herself as someone who can do maths confidently.

That's one of my favourite parts of tutoring 😍

Helping students discover that they understand more than they thought they did.

I run small group tuition for children aged 5 to 16, focusing on:

Sessions are fun, supportive and designed to build confidence as well as ability.

No pressure - just helping children feel like, "I can do this."

We are seeking qualified teachers to join our friendly and supportive tutor team delivering high-quality small group tuition.

This role is ideal for experienced teachers, tutors or teachers looking for flexible work outside of the classroom.

We are a small, welcoming team working in Lichfield, Staffordshire.

Available hours:
Wednesday 4:30pm - 6:30pm
Other evenings and daytime hours coming soon!

We are looking for teachers who:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have experience teaching in UK schools
Are passionate about personalised learning and helping students succeed

Tutors will be engaged on a self-employed basis under a Service Level Agreement.

A DBS on the update service is preferred, although this can be arranged if required.
