That’s a wrap for Minibeast May! 🐞🪲🐛

Who came to play? We’ve had SO much fun, in the sunshine… well apart from that one biblical rainy session 🤣🫣☔️ But fun was definitely still had!

June sees the return of the DINOSAURS 🦖🌿🥚 and there are still a few spaces available.

We’ve found some AMAZING minibeasts on our bug hunts lately 🐛🪵🍃 and it really shows what a wonderfully biodiverse place The Fairy Woods is ✨🌿

First up was a beautiful Lime Hawk Moth 😍These are SO cool and camouflage perfectly against the trees — we almost missed it! Did you know they stay tucked up in their cocoon all winter, hatch in May, and only live for 1–2 weeks?! 🦋✨

Next up was a Cockchafer Beetle 🪲I absolutely love these funny little creatures. They look big and a bit scary, but they’re completely harmless… just very clumsy 😂

And then of course we found the usual Twiglets favourites — millipedes, worms and woodlice 🪱🍂

There’s something so special about children getting hands-on with nature.💚
