🌸🔥 Another fun-filled week with all our friends at Sophie's Childminding Leyland! 🔥🌸

We’ve had an exciting visit to the fire station, which was a fantastic experience to learn all about the fire service and explore the fire engines! 🚒🔥 A huge thank you to Leyland Fire Station and all the amazing staff who made our visit so special and exciting! ❤️

We continued our fire-fighting theme back at the setting with our fire-themed tuff tray, creating our own water hoses with cotton reels and laces to put out our homemade pretend building fire. This provided lots of opportunities for hands-on exploration, using a variety of materials and textures.

We’ve also enjoyed lots of free play, jigsaws, creating our own flower garden using colourful toy flowers, matching games, face emotion activities and Snakes & Ladders … all helping to develop concentration, problem-solving, memory, turn-taking and counting skills 🧩🎲🌷

And now for a week off to rest and recharge. See you all when I return! Have a lovely weekend ❤️🌈

We’ve packed so much fun, learning and exploring into our days this week with our friends from Sophie's Childminding Leyland 🥰

🛝 Ryden Park
🐄 A lovely visit to the farm
🐓Created our own farmyard with the toy animals
🌙 Eclipse-themed moon sand tuff tray exploration
👨‍🚀 Created our own astronaut face pictures
📚 Enjoyed another fun library session
🦋 Took a trip to the Butterfly House
🥣 Lots of mud kitchen fun
🌈 And plenty of free play, fresh air and making memories together!

This week has also been a little emotional as, due to maternity, I’ve had to say goodbye to a member of our little gang a bit earlier than I’d hoped 💔 We’re going to miss you dearly and you’ll always be a special part of our childminding family. Hopefully we’ll see you again very soon! ☺️❤️

❤️ Supporting a Wonderful Cause ❤️

This weekend, my partner and his team at Eternal Renewable Energy took part in a sponsored walk with CEF Leyland for WellChild, supporting seriously ill children and their families. They all dressed up as Toy Story characters and looked brilliant 👏🪖🦖🤠🥾💙

WellChild helps children with complex medical needs have the best chance to thrive at home, surrounded by their families, rather than spending long periods in hospital.

We were so proud to sponsor such an amazing charity and support such an important cause. 🌟 A huge well done to everyone who took part — you all did so well in that heat! 👏🏼💙

🏕️✨ Motorhome Camping Adventure! ✨🏕️

The best camping trip with these little lovelies 🥰🥰 we’ve had such a wonderful time packed full of fun, laughter and new experiences with Sophie's Childminding Leyland 💛

🔥 Games, stories, safely preparing and enjoying the campfire and toasting marshmallows
🍓 Lots of yummy snacks and delicious food
🎬 Cosy PJ film night
🍦 Ice cream by the lake
🥞 Pancakes, chocolate & strawberries for breakfast

The children all made us super proud as it was our first ever camping experience and they were all so amazing!! 👏👏

Fresh air, happy faces and the best memories made that we will all for sure remember! 🥰🌿💛 and thank you to Arlo’s mummy Grace for providing extra delicious treats for us all 🥰

We have enjoyed another wonderful week of hands-on learning, outdoor adventures and play-based experiences 💛

✨🦆🌳🛝We’ve been to Tiny Rockers to enjoy a morning of soft play fun, visited a few local parks to enjoy swinging, climbing trees, practicing balancing, feeding the ducks and active play including spinning and rolling down hills.

🍰 🌼 🧩 We have also added some new jigsaws to our collection and loved working together to complete them! We have made pretend cakes and sausages with playdough, while squeezing, rolling, stamping and shaping it to help develop our fine motor skills and hand strength as well as our imaginative play. We have planted our own wildflower seeds too and look forward to watching them grow. This has encouraged our understanding of nature, responsibility, curiosity and care for living things.

… and calm before the chaos as we start our weekend with Sophie's Childminding Leyland with our very own camping trip to give our preschoolers an amazing send off experience to remember 🥰🏕️🚍🥞🪵 road-trip here we come 😁😁!!

Another fantastic week full of fun, exploration and learning! 🌿🫐

This week we’ve enjoyed blackberry picking and tasting before making delicious blackberry jam and a blackberry swirl sponge cake, encouraging hands-on learning and independence in the kitchen. We also visited the park, fed the ducks, enjoyed getting messy in the sand area, took a trip to the farm to feed the animals and headed into the woods where we collected sticks and worked together to build a pretend campfire, inspiring teamwork and imaginative play ✨

We also loved catching up with our friends at playgroup during the half-term break, enjoyed plenty of child-led free play at our setting, and got creative making beautiful pictures to take home. Another wonderful week supporting confidence, creativity and learning through play! 💚🌈

⭐️ This week we’ve continued working towards our individual next steps, developing fine and gross motor skills, encouraging independence and teamwork, supporting speech and language, and exploring creativity through art and design ⭐️

We’ve loved our adventures to Astley Park and Ryden Park, creating muddy masterpieces in the mud kitchen, exploring mark making in the sand and on our chalkboard, enjoying free painting and making scrummy pretend icecreams, cooling off in the inflatable pool/slide and finishing the week with a visit to the library and a fun pom pom ice smash sensory activity 🥰✨

Every activity has provided opportunities to learn, explore and grow while having lots of fun along the way 🌿🎨📚
