🦶Nails are cut and filed, thinned down if needed and hard skin and corns removed. Professional advice is also given that may be relevant to any foot issues you may have., as pregnancy can certainly affect your feet.

🧘‍♀️🕯️🎶This also includes a foot and leg massage with beautiful Temple Spa products whilst listening to a candle relaxation track in my own voice with a heated lavender eye mask.

✨Your nails are then painted with a Drs. Remedy hydration clear coat treatment to help the condition of your nails.

✨Thankyou to all the Chorley Birth Centre Midwives for offering their time to host such a wonderful summer fayre event!! 🍦🤰

✨It was great to meet so many expectant parents and those that have just had their little one. If you are interested in any of my courses it would be great to hear from you so I CAN SUPPORT YOU BOTH!

💖Thankyou to midwife Charlie who showed me round the centre. What fabulous Oxytocin boosting birthing rooms!! 🤩 I was so impressed seeing the twinkling lights and the lit up birth pool. Even the rebozo hanging from the wall for upright birth positions!!

✨It was so inspiring to see other businesses offering their services and support with the aim of helping expectant parents and beyond. It really is a journey, and becoming a mother a complex life transition.

You want a great tasting cocktail, and that needs a combo of the right ingredients! 🍹

On a hypnobirthing course, we talk alot about how this cocktail of amazing hormones influences the labour and birth process.

💖🪄We talk about how you can boost OXYTOCIN, ENDORPHINS and PROLACTIN.
These hormones are the power house of labour, and there is so much you can do to boost them!

❌🤺We want to keep ADRENALINE at bay, although you do actually need a bit of it towards the end of labour. We absolutely DONT want a fight or flight situation, but you do produce more of this hormone if you are stressed or scared.

🧘‍♀️This is why the self hypnosis element is so essential, and the science behind it is that it keeps you with parasympathetic state. It keeps the adrenaline out, making labour easier, shorter and less painful.

🧠Our bodies are truly amazing, and once you understand just how important this knowledge is, it will BLOW YOUR MIND!

Knowledge is power! 💪

🤰My wonderful couples who have undertaken my hypnobirthing course now feel fully empowered about the choices they will make during their labour and birth.

⚒️Doing a hypnobirthing course equips you with a tool bank to use in any situation you may find yourself in. The course of birth is unknown, but having really useful skills to deal with ‘ bumps in the road’ is so valuable.

Understanding why self hypnosis is also so important will be clearer as the course progresses. Dont worry, its not something that is weird, this is full birth prep to get the best possible start in your journey to becoming parents! 🧑‍🧑‍🧒

BIRTH PARTNER FEEDBACK!

Having the perspective from a birth partner is fantastic. Your birth partner, be it your Mum, Sister, Husband ect has a hugely important role to play!

On my hypnobirthing course, we discuss just how they can help you prepare for the birth of your baby, you both need to work together! That means goodbye to mobile phone scrolling and instead focusing on making that perfect birthing nest 🪹

🌸It is so lovely to speak with other birth/ pregnancy professionals who do an amazing job at really helping the women in their classes prepare the best they can for whats to come. Today I met with the lovely Jal from in Penwortham.

🤰We talked about how we were both passionate that in pregnancy, we can help prepare our bodies mentally and physically, and how really yoga also combines elements of hypnobirthing. They both focus on the mind/ body connection! 🧠

🤝👶🏼We also talked about how we can potentially combine our knowledge in the future to provide a more holistic approach towards birth prep. Our bodies go through so much during pregnancy and afterwards, and self care should be central to this.

We are both passionate about striving for better antenatal care, and for women to understand they are more powerful than they think. Birth is the most significant life event and one you won’t forget, so think about how you can prepare with pregnancy yoga and hypnobirthing. There really is so much to be gained from both 💖🧘‍♀️

👶🏼Your journey into motherhood starts when you have a little one growing inside of you!

Being a mother is raw, emotional and brings so many varied feelings. It definitely is a journey, and that journey starts when you are pregnant 🤰

👶🏼Hypnobirthing brings so many positive plus points to your pregnancy and birth experience. Your experience matters, and what goes beyond birth is built on a positive foundation.

💪Get prepped and get informed. Take time to bond with your baby during pregnancy! Thats the great thing about a hypnobirthing course is that it gives you time to spend as a couple. Focusing on just the 3 of you is truly something special, certainly when life is busy, its great to take time out and get excited about whats to come!

There are so many amazing pregnancy and birth books out there! 📖

I have literally a heap of them, but if I had to choose 2, then these would be my top ones:

- 📚Why Hypnobirthing Matters by Katrina Berry ( Pinter and Martin)

This gives a great introduction to just what hypnobirthing is all about and helps you understand it more.

- 📚The Positive Birth Book by Millie Hill
Fab book with so much practical info in that is a must read! Also it has great ideas on doing visual birth plans

💪I could have chosen many more, and the more you read, the more informed you are!

As Roald Dahl put it “ if you are going to get anywhere in life, you have to read alot of books” 📚
