This week at Stepping Stones we’ve certainly embraced the much-needed rain! We have loved splashing the puddles!

We had a wonderful adventure to Standen House, where the children had the freedom explore the house and beautiful gardens. We loved seeing the vegetables grow and explore the climbing frames.

We had a brilliant time meeting the animals at Raystede! The children loved spotting all the different animals, watching what they were getting up and enjoyed the rain. There was lots of excitement and plenty of animal noises along the way!

Our visit to Anne of Cleves House has been full of imagination. The children had great fun dressing up and pretending to step back in time. We also used crayons to explore and recreate the different patterns found in the beautiful tiles.

Back indoors our creativity continued as we built our very own cardboard castle! The children loved decorating it and turning it into a place for all sorts of imaginative adventures, we especially loved crawling through the door!

To end the week, we have been busy making some delicious cupcakes. We enjoyed mixing, scooping and of course, having a little taste of the delicious creations!

🌿 What a fantastic week we’ve had at Stepping Stones! 🌿

Our Little Adventurers have been on some amazing adventures this week! We’ve been climbing trees, sliding down dusty banks and developing our gross motor skills through lots of exciting outdoor play. We also explored an overgrown pathway and discovered lots of delicious blackberries along the way! 🫐🌳

We had a particularly exciting trip to Eastbourne to watch the planes at Airbourne ✈️ — and we even saw someone standing on the wing of a plane! It was such an exciting experience for the children. We finished the week with a trip to Rowfant Trail, where we followed the woodland trail and discovered lots of fun activities along the way. 🌲🍃

Our Mini Explorers have been dancing in the sunshine 💃☀️ and enjoyed a lovely trip to The Mac Farm, where we met chickens and pigs and discovered lots of wonderful wooden animals to climb on. And of course, no farm trip would be complete without an ice cream! 🍦🐷🐔

We can’t wait to see what next week brings! 💚

What another fantastic week we’ve had at Stepping Stones Nursery! 🌿✨

Our days have been filled with adventure, curiosity and plenty of magical moments as our little explorers headed out to discover the wonderful world around them.

🌲 Mini Explorers enjoyed an exciting trip to Friston Forest, where they discovered the Gruffalo’s House! They challenged themselves climbing over exciting rocks, helping to develop their core strength and coordination. Along the way, they found delicious ripe blackberries, which they carefully picked and brought back to nursery to make a tasty homemade blackberry crumble. 🍇🥧

🐄 Our Baby Mini Explorers had a wonderful time at Shelby Meadows, where they explored the mud through mark making and enjoyed feeding the model farm animals. Sensory play at its best!

🚆🏖️ Our Little Adventurers travelled by train to Seaford Beach, where they searched for exciting seaside treasures, explored the shoreline and created more wonderful memories together.

Every adventure provides opportunities to learn, build confidence and spark imaginations. We are so proud of our amazing children for embracing every experience with such enthusiasm and curiosity.

We can’t wait to see what next week’s adventures will bring! 💚🌈

What a fantastic week we’ve had at Stepping Stones Nursery! 🌿🚜⚓🏖️🏃‍♀️

It’s been another week full of adventure, exploration and making wonderful memories!

Our Mini Explorers enjoyed an exciting trip to the Secret Garden, where they discovered an abandoned tractor that sparked lots of imaginative storytelling and exciting conversations.

We also headed off with our little adventurers to Eastbourne Beach, where the children loved exploring the shoreline. We discovered tiny baby crabs, seaweed and all sorts of fascinating seaside treasures. Of course, there was plenty of laughter as we dipped our toes into the cold sea!

Our annual Sports Day was a huge success! The children had so much fun taking part in running races, the egg and spoon race, and the sack race. But we think everyone’s favourite event had to be the parents’ races—they certainly gave us all a good laugh! We finished the morning with a well-deserved ice lolly to cool down.

To round off our busy week, we said a very special goodbye to our wonderful school leavers. They enjoyed an exciting trip to Drusillas, followed by a lovely afternoon tea with their families. We sang our leavers’ song together before presenting each child with a special leavers’ T-shirt and party bag to remember their time with us.
