We are really excited to be working with Engineering UK on their Neon project. Neon brings together the UK's best engineering experiences and inspiring careers resources and stories to help teachers bring STEM to life with real world examples of engineering.

We are looking for KS2 teachers with an interest in science or careers (e.g. science coordinator or careers leader) to take part in some research we are conducting, to explore how the Neon website (https://neonfutures.org.uk/) can be made more useful and attractive to primary teachers.

Teachers generally get a lot out of taking part in online discussions as it provides an opportunity to share and exchange ideas with peers in other settings. We will also pay you £60 as a thank you for taking part!

The online discussion group will take place on Tuesday 6th July at 18.30-19.45. Please contact [email protected] to register your interest.

Research opportunity for secondary schools in the Midlands and North of England.

We have been commissioned by the Kings College to explore the appeal of a new degree-level Engineering-based course.

As part of this research, we will be visiting secondary schools in the first few weeks of January to hold workshops with Year 12 students. During the workshops students will discuss and explore their chosen A-level choices and plans for university courses.

Schools will receive a payment of £200 for supporting us with the research.

We are looking for teachers in Birmingham to take part in a workshop to review THINK! road safety education resources for the Department for Transport.

The Workshops are taking place in central Birmingham on 3rd October between 5.00-7.00pm and 7.15-9.15pm.

We will discuss ideas and look at some draft new and updated road safety resources, how they will be organised and communicated.

The resources will be aimed at teachers, out-of-school group leaders and road safety professionals working with children aged 13-16 years old.

We will pay you £75 as a thank-you and to cover any expenses. Coffee, tea and biscuits will be served during the session.
