Children have been really enjoying their new sandpit! The look on their faces for the big reveal was brilliant 😍

Nursery children were so excited to see their new role play area this morning - an Ice Cream Shop! They had great fun making ice-creams for their friends, playing ‘shopkeepers’ and exploring the sensory dough flavours! 🍦🍨🍧

Nursery & Reception had a great visit from Herring Green Falconry Centre today! We got to meet a variety of birds & hold Accio the owl 🦉

This week in RECEPTION 🧸

Highlights and activities from this week include; our first butterfly, making bug homes, playdough butterflies and a visit from Speedy the tortoise! 🐢

We decided that our sandpit was far too small for the children to get in & dig to build sandcastles…

Here is a before and after of our new & improved sandpit 😍🏖️ we’ve created a much bigger space, with the resources all easily accessible & organised. The children can’t wait to use it!

Reception’s Rainbow Challenge 🌈

The children have been working so hard towards their new ‘Rainbow Challenge!’ Each week, there are new activities available to them, and for each new activity they try - a colour counter is placed on their rainbow. By the end of the week, if they have received all of their counters, they can earn some rewards! It has been lovely to see the children try some activities and tasks that they would not normally do, just so that their rainbow is complete 🥰 well done Reception!
