Thank you to everyone who came along to our Father’s Day & Special Person Stay and Play this morning ❤️
This is always one of our favourite events of the year. It provides children with an opportunity to share their nursery environment with the important people in their lives, helping to strengthen connections between home and nursery ✨
It was lovely to see so many special people joining in with activities, spending time together, and experiencing a little part of the children’s day with us 🥰

We wanted to share this helpful resource from the Speech and Language Therapy Team.
At nursery, we use the FOLLOW approach to support children’s communication and language development through everyday interactions, play and following children’s interests.
This short webinar explains the approach and shares practical ideas to help support communication in young children ❤️

Some of the simplest experiences can be the most engaging 🌿✨
Whether it’s adding a calming bubble lamp, refreshing our mud kitchen or introducing new sensory experiences, we are constantly reflecting on our spaces and making small changes that support children’s play, exploration and wellbeing.
Sometimes it’s the little details that make all the difference ❤️

On Tuesday afternoon, Samantha attended an Early Years networking table alongside other local settings and professionals within the sector.
The afternoon also included an insightful talk from Cheryl Warren, Neurodiversity Affirming Trainer & Consultant, focused on neurodiversity affirming practice and creating inclusive environments within early years.
A valuable opportunity for reflection, learning and connection ❤️

Sensory room refresh✨
We’ve added some lovely new resources to our sensory space. Our sensory room is one of the children’s favourite places to explore, relax and regulate 🍃
All children can access this space freely throughout the day, supporting their individual needs, interests and wellbeing in a calm and nurturing environment.
It’s lovely to see the children enjoying the new additions 💛

What a fantastic two days on our annual farm trip! 🚜🐄🌿
We are so grateful to all of our wonderful parents, carers, children and staff who joined us yesterday and today ❤️
Around 120 of us altogether across the two days! 😍
Your support, enthusiasm and company made the trips so special, and we truly appreciate everyone who came along.
The children had an amazing time exploring, learning and making memories together (and we were very lucky that the rain stayed away just about!🌦️).
Thank you again for being part of such a lovely experience for our Glebe Kids family 🤎🐑

As part of Mental Health Awareness Week, we have prepared some small wellbeing gifts for our parents and carers ❤️
Alongside these, we have also shared an email with gentle tips, support links and reminders around supporting both children’s emotional wellbeing and your own mental health too.
Parenting can be joyful, exhausting and overwhelming all at once, and we hope this serves as a small reminder that you are all doing a wonderful job ✨
Sometimes taking a small pause and showing yourself the same kindness you show your children can make all the difference 🥰
