So after nearly 4 years I am hanging up my childminding hat.
I have been working with children for the past 12 years and it has been an amazing experience. A privelege to have known so many fantastic children and their families.
But the time is right to move onto something new. ππ
As I always say to all the children who have left my care.... It's never ever goodbye. So be good, eat well, get a good night's sleep and I'll see you. soon.

We made good use of the oats this week. They were used to:
Tell the story of the little red hen.
Were a construction yard for our diggers
Left as just oats and the children added their own resources.
Finally they were put outside to mix with water to change their consistency.

Using food in sensory play is always a bit of a hot topic! These porridge oats were nearing their expiry date so wanted to make use of them rather than going in the bin. They are on their second day today. π€

As we are loving the Little Red Hen story....a quick tuff tray invitation to play is set up this morning.

A simple colour identification activity for the younger crew and a story sequence activity for my older ones. This story is a real favourite at the setting. π§ββοΈπ§Ήπͺ

Some highlights from our week. We had some lemon, orange and lime messy play and tasting! Some delicious home grown strawberries given to us by one of our kiddos grandparents. ππ
Sticking and glueing, chalk mark making, our regular groups to socialise and a trip to Hitchin Lavender which inspired our garden play dough activity. ππΏπͺ»
