We are so excited to watch this space grow and develop over the next term, especially with our students taking such an active role in bringing it to life. From small beginnings come great things

Team St Francis College is getting ready to walk, jog and run together in support of Cancer Research UK.

Every step taken helps raise money for life-saving research and supports those affected by cancer. We are so proud of all our students and staff taking part this year.

This week, we are proud to support Mental Health Awareness Week 💚

In boarding, we know how important it is to create a community where students feel safe, supported, listened to, and valued every single day. Whether it’s through quiet conversations, shared laughter, evening activities, study support, or simply being there for one another, wellbeing is always at the heart of what we do.

Let’s continue to encourage kindness, understanding, and open conversations around mental health — because looking after our minds is just as important as looking after our bodies.

Our boarders put their teamwork, problem-solving, and nerves to the test on today’s Saturday trip to the escape room… and they escaped with just 5 seconds to spare!

From cracking codes to solving clues under pressure, the girls worked brilliantly together and showed fantastic determination right until the very last second. A thrilling afternoon full of teamwork, laughter, and a little bit of panic!

Happy Mother’s Day

Today we celebrate mums in all forms and all those who take on a motherly role in our lives. To those who guide, support, nurture, and lead by example, thank you for everything you do.

We know that mothers come in many forms, and today is a chance to appreciate all those who provide care, wisdom, encouragement, and love.

Our boarders had a fantastic Saturday trip into London, travelling by train to visit the National Gallery. Students explored some of the incredible artworks on display before spending time in Trafalgar Square, where Boardington Bear stopped for a photo with one of the famous lions.

A real highlight of the day was unexpectedly running into Olly Murs, who was very kind and took the time to have a photo with our students.

A wonderful day of culture, sightseeing and a little bit of London excitement.

International Women’s Day

Today we celebrate International Women’s Day and recognise the achievements, strength, and contributions of women and girls around the world

It is a day to celebrate progress, inspire future generations, and continue supporting equality, opportunity, and empowerment for all.

At St Francis’ we are proud of the incredible young women in our community who show determination, kindness, leadership, and resilience every day

Together we celebrate their voices, their ambitions, and their future.

Today we celebrate the joy of reading the power of stories and the imagination that books inspire. Whether it is discovering new worlds meeting unforgettable characters or sharing favourite stories with friends reading opens the door to endless possibilities.

Spring is on the Way

It feels like spring is almost here!

The blossom is out, and the daffodils are starting to appear, bringing colour, brightness, and a sense of new beginnings across the school grounds 🌼🌿

Saturday Trip Braintree Freeport!

Our Saturday trip took us to Braintree Freeport Outlet Centre.

Students had a great time exploring the shops, enjoying time together, and picking up a few treats… and we definitely came back with lots of bags!

A fun and relaxed weekend outing with plenty of smiles all round
