Cherry Tree Pre-school Letchworth

While rowing the boat down the stream, the children looked out for crocodiles and polar bears!

We had such a lot of fun with shaving foam, colour mixing and markmaking this week. A new sensory experience for some of our children and some lovely vocabulary used to describe the textures. "Fluffy, soft, tickly smooth. 'it's like butter'"

We loved meeting the animals from Ark farm this week. Lots of opportunities to practice gentle hands as we stroked and fed the animals. Many thanks to Kira from Ark Farm for making it so special for our little ones.

We love a box!
The children made a tunnel before deciding it needed to be a house and cut out a window and decorating the walls. We took it outside and added a lot of chimneys. Lots of lovely imaginative play and team work!

In the garden this week...
Planting potatoes, renewing our wormery, (and searching for new residents!) and decorating trees!

World Book Day!
A busy week for celebrating books. We had lots of fun dressing up for World Book Day and went to the library to choose some books. Thankyou to Letchworth Library for making us so welcome.

Our Birdwatch week.
The children made bird feeders and binoculars. They made marks on their notepads when they saw a bird. One child assured me that they had seen a Pterodactyl!
