Enchanted Day Nursery

Last week in Wand Room, the babies really enjoyed exploring different occupation related activities. They had lots of fun in a play dough making tuff tray with pictures of different emergency vehicles, making lots of different shapes whilst discussing how emergency services help us. We also really enjoyed a builders tuff tray where we dressed in our high vis and wore hard hats whilst creating big towers together. We also cooled down in the water tray, making lots of splashes and watching the boats float in the water! As well, we played with the baby dolls feeding them and making some tea together!

Last week in Crown Room the children were exploring different stories 📕. We explored the smartest giant in town, The bear 🐻 hunt, Snail 🐌 and the whale 🐋 and many more. The children loved doing a bear hunt sensory walk, bear 🐻 hunt wallpaper story and the smartest giant in town clothes 👕 match. Overall the children has a brilliant week and loved learning about different stories 📕

Last week in castle room we continued to enjoy the sunny weather by playing outdoors in our mini turtle pool and bringing the beach to us by exploring a beach tray! We loved to keep active by showing off our dance moves and have a bike race. We also enjoyed reading lots of different books to keep us entertained when it was too warm to go outside.☀️

Last week in Forest room we made the most of the beautiful sun, the children spent lots of time outside in water trays splashing around in a dinosaur water tray before playing in a bubble water tray. Inside we enjoyed a lovely rainbow ice car tray and watched the patterned left as they slid across the paper and the tray before enjoying ice sea creatures in the garden and watching the colours mix and the ice melted. The children also looked for flowers in a soil tray as well as making a splash in a large sea tray with bubbles. At the end of the week the children became chefs and made their own pizzas before tucking into these for tea 🍕 🧑‍🍳 👩‍🍳

Last week in Wand Room, we had lots of fun in the sun! ☀️ We really enjoyed keeping cool in a water tuff tray where we enjoyed washing our baby dolls using different sponges and loofahs as well doing lots of splashing! As well, the babies enjoyed getting outside before it got too hot going down the slides together and rocking back and forth on then rocking horse. 🐴 We also really enjoyed exploring the different textures in a seaside tuff tray with some blue sea gloop and some sea creatures as well as sand. 🌊🐬

Last week in castle room the children enjoyed exploring the sunny weather in the garden riding the bikes playing with the water tray using our motor skills to scoop and transport water through tubes. We spoke about the animals that live in the ocean and created our own giant whale picture using our feet to paint.
We have also enjoyed dressing up and role playing as people who are important to us.

Last week in Forest room we continued our theme of occupations, we enjoyed a hair dressing spaghetti tray where they practiced their cutting skills before exploring a runway sensory tray with the helicopters and aeroplanes. Later we were pretending to be firefighters in the garden and put out the fire in the tuff tray, we explored a farm texture tray before looking at different sea animals in aquarium tray before looking at some jungle animals in a nursery rhyme tray, we finished the week by being postmen and sending out some letters 📮 ✈️ 🚁 💇‍♀️ 💇‍♂️

Last week in the Wand room we continued our theme of healthy eating and health me, the children enjoyed painting using the corn on the cob 🌽 they used their fine motor skills to dip the corn in the paint and then roll it on the paper making marks as they go and also had fun painting a fruit bowl full of fruit 🍇 🍋 🍊 🍌 We also cooled down having a fruit and water tuff tray out which the children really enjoyed and had fun splashing in the water and smelling the lovely fruit.
We also had fun looking at the brushing our teeth leaflets and brushing the laminated teeth using the tooth brushes and foam.

Crown room children are a big fan of pretend playing and love to showcase their imaginary world. So last week in Crown room, children enjoyed exploring about all about different types of occupations like policeman 👮🏻‍♂️, firefighter 🧑🏽‍🚒 and doctors 🥼 . They enjoyed making different types of emergency vehicles and pancakes with play dough. Children enjoyed doing various craft activities like making their own police car 🚓 and fire engines 🚒 . They loved doing X-ray pictures with chalks and made medicines potions to pretend being a doctor 🧑‍⚕️. On the last day of that busy week, they got a special visit from a chicken 🐓 and enjoyed a fun ride on their new fancy scooters 🛴 and bikes 🚲.

Last week in Castle room we continued to explore our theme ‘Nature 🦋’, we used glitter to make snail trails and made leaf’s using handprints, we explored a Gruffalo tuff tray looking at the story and all the characters. We explored different climates by playing in ‘Around the world’ tray, we used different textures and resources, like flour, rice, sand and salt to show the different climates animals live in, we also enjoyed playing in a beach tray using boats to race in the water and the sea animals to cause big splashes! 🌊
