🍂 Autumn Adventures in Nursery! 🍁

We have had a lovely week in Nursery exploring the story Leaf Man and discovering the wonderful changes that Autumn brings!

The children have enjoyed exploring our school grounds, looking for signs of Autumn and collecting colourful leaves and other natural treasures. 🍃

We’re excited to announce that our new wraparound care provision is launching after half-term! 💜💛

Looking for a little extra flexibility around the school day? Our wraparound care will offer a safe, welcoming and fun space for children to enjoy, with arts and crafts, outdoor play, games, reading, time with friends and much more! 🎨⚽📚🧩

With healthy snacks, light meal options and lots of exciting activities, there’s plenty for children to look forward to! 🥪🍎

📣🎒 Is your child starting secondary school in September 2027? 🏫✨
📅 The deadline to apply for a Year 7 place is Saturday 31 October 2026.

Secondary school applications for children starting Year 7 in September 2027 should be submitted by the end of the month. Applying after the closing date can significantly reduce the chances of securing a place at their preferred school.

Our playgrounds are getting a fantastic makeover! 😍 Today and tomorrow, we’re having some exciting new markings installed to make playtimes even more fun!

🏀 KS2 playground: Two Four Square courts and a pickleball court!
🏃 KS1 playground: A brilliant Get Active circuit to get everyone moving!

A HUGE thank you to our amazing Friends Of Leiston Primary School for generously funding these fantastic additions. 💙 Your support helps us make playtimes even more active, exciting and fun for everyone!

We can’t wait to see the children enjoying their new playground features and making the most of these brilliant opportunities to play, move and learn together! 🌟

🔢✨ What a fun morning Year 1 have had in Maths! 😃

The children have been using rekenreks to help them solve addition word problems, developing their number skills while having lots of fun! 🧮👏

🧑‍🍳🥕 After learning the bridge and claw techniques and taste-testing seasonal vegetables, Year 3 put their DT skills into action by making delicious seasonal vegetable tarts! 🥧✨

The children loved bringing together everything they had learned to create a tasty treat and are already keen to make them at home! 🏡😋

🧪✨ Science Club Fun! ✨🧪

Our after school Science Club was in full swing when I popped in this afternoon! 🔬 The children were busy making magic bracelets and having lots of fun exploring science with the amazing Mrs Bedward from the Leiston Education Partnership. 🌈🪄

I can’t wait to hear all about what they discovered tomorrow morning! 🤩

Science, creativity and lots of fun all rolled into one! 💫👏

🎶🎵 A very musical afternoon in Year 1!🎵🎶

Year 1 had a fantastic afternoon exploring pulse and rhythm, listening carefully to the beat and had lots of fun developing their musical skills. 🥁🎶

It was wonderful to see everyone joining in and listening to one another! 💛
