Bedtime tonight took a grand total of an hour and fifteen minutes.😖😖
Two over excited children, hot weather and the sun still being up at 7.30pm did nothing to help my mission to have them both tucked up and asleep, leaving me with an evening of Canadian Drag Race and a bar of Dairy Milk.🤦♀️
I often get comments from people that I seem like a calm person who takes things in their stride...but I'm going to let you in on a secret - I'm really not!
If you asked my husband to describe me, the last word he would use is calm!😆😆 I have zero patience and I find it difficult to concentrate for long periods of time.
The prospect of an intricate puzzle to solve, or (worse still!) a jumble of tangled necklaces or cables to unravel fills me with irritation and "Gah! I can't do this!"
The point of what I'm trying to say is, you don't have to be a 'calm' or 'zen' person to practise hypnobirthing! You don't have to be 'alternative' or 'hippyish' to have a positive birth! I am none of the above! I enjoy a drink, I laugh at crude jokes, I watch trash TV - I'm fairly 'normal' (whatever that is!)
If you're questioning whether hypnobirthing is right for you, or indeed, whether I'm the right person to support you with it, then hopefully this post has shed some light.
So, I'm going to carry on sipping my large Rum and Lilt and go watch Canadian Drag Race.🍹💃
My Hypnobirthing Essentials Course is this Saturday at 10am and there are 2 spaces available. Click the link in my Bio to book!
