Another super display today from our Under 13 girls' football players as they booked their place in the semi-final of the Luton & South Beds District competition with an emphatic 0-7 away victory against Icknield High School.
The win lifts the team to the top of the group and they will now face the second placed team from group B in a few weeks. time.
A first half hat-trick for Esme T. with other goals from Evie S. and Kenedee G. gave the girls a 5-0 lead by half time. Further goals were added in the second half by Maisy N. and Evie S.
A special mention today for Leola D. who played her first game, including a spell in goal.
Well done all.

In Art, our Year 8 students have made some wonderful Hundertwasser and Gaudi inspired clay sculptures which they have been glazing. These should be going into the kiln after half term.

There is a cake sale at break time on Friday (16th February) in aid of a student who is fundraising for Dementia UK after a family member's recent diagnosis.
There will be a variety of cakes at a variety of prices, ranging from 50p to £2.
The sale will take place where the purple pop up shop usually is.

Our Under 13 girls' football team took on The Chalk Hills Academy from Luton yesterday as they continued their push for the semi-final spots in the District Cup. On a very wet evening they won 6-1, with a hat trick from Liv C. and further goals from Esme (2) and Mia.
There has been a great set of results for the girls in this competition so far - the team has been truly outstanding. Well done all!

Wonderful Year 6 trips to the Natural History Museum Tring last week. The children enjoyed seeing and learning about all the animals (and dressing up as some of them!)

Fabulous result for our Year 7/8 girls' football team in the Luton & South Beds District Cup yesterday, to add to a string of recent impressive matches.
Chiltern Academy, Luton 0 - 12 GIA
The girls blew away their opponents with a clinical display in front of goal. The team dominated the game from start to finish despite the very bumpy and mud ridden pitch. An amazing 7 different scorers on the day! Well done all!
Goals: Mia D.-R., Esmé T., Evie S., Kenedee G., Evie A. (2) and hat tricks for Liv C. and Ella V..

Kyron competed in his first event since Christmas at the Flamstead Pony Club Winter Showjumping event. He entered the 60cm event and got a double clear and came 8th overall, this also meant he qualified for the Pony Club Area 12 Championships - well done Kyron & Dopey!🏇🏇

Thank you to Mrs. Jones and all the school staff and parents/carers who supported our Christmas concert on 14th December. It was a lovely occasion, with a mixture of musical performances and readings, and put everyone in the festive mood! There are more photos of the concert on the school website.

Thank you to all our parents/carers and other friends of the school who have donated to our Festive Friends project this year.

Your generosity will be greatly appreciated by members of our community who are finding life hard in the current cost of living crisis and who will have a better Christmas because of the full boxes they receive.

Thank you also to the students who helped decorate the boxes.

Our Christmas concert is tomorrow (Thursday 14th December) at 6.30pm.
This will be a lovely musical occasion and an opportunity to get everyone into the festive mood!
If you haven't bought tickets already, they are still available via the Arbor app (£3 each) until noon tomorrow.

A reminder that the last day to send non perishable donations into school for our Festive Friends project is Tuesday 12th December. Thank you to those who have already donated.

Don’t forget it’s Christmas jumper day! 🎄🎄🎄

The Book Fair has arrived - it will be in the school library after school from today until Wednesday 13th December.

To follow on from yesterdays post, Connie competed in her first NESA competition and had 2 amazing rounds in the open class, coming 2nd in the 50cm. They flew round the 60cm unfortunately knocking down the second to last pole, however they had the quickest time overall.

Congratulations Connie and Badger!

Tickets for the Christmas concert are now on sale via the shop on the Arbor app.

Here is Gilbert's fabulous entry, entitled "Starry, Starry Subjects", in the Christmas Tree Festival. Thank you to the art department, and particularly to Miss Reilly, for all the hard work decorating the tree. Our tree, amongst lots of other entries, can be seen at All Saints this weekend.
