A career in teaching English deeply appeals to my personality and values. I believe the study of the English Language is vital to the development of comprehensive skills that will benefit students throughout the course of their lives, whether it be in terms of their employability, their ability to communicate and connect with peers and wider society or indeed succeed in their further studies. With

an outstanding background and extensive experience as a professional Teacher of English for a wide range of abilities and needs across all key stages in some of the top non-selective schools in the UK, I have both a deep understanding of the subject and a wealth of professional classroom experience and tutoring expertise to inspire and motivate students to excel in English. I am absolutely passionate about teaching English and am a friendly and intuitive tutor. I specialise in encouraging a deeper enjoyment of English by cultivating assurance and aptitude in all of my students by designing and delivering engaging, interactive lessons that allows everyone, no matter the level, to connect with and progress through the learning. ➡️ The EPQ (Extended Project Qualification) is no small feat — it’s a Level 3 qualification worth up to 28 UCAS points, equivalent to 50% of an A-Level. It requires:

✔️ A 5,000-word dissertation
✔️ A research and reflection log
✔️ A formal presentation + Q&A
✔️ Independent project management from start to finish

After just two 2-hour sessions over two weeks, this student’s essay was transformed from a promising first draft into a confident, well-structured, university-ready piece.

Be honest… in your house, does “studying Shakespeare” look more like...

👀 Child staring blankly at the page

🧹 Everyone avoiding eye contact like the witches just showed up?

You’re not alone! I’ve had so many messages from parents saying their child left our Macbeth session smiling — clearer on the plot, confident, and even excited to take their notes into school.

I get it — Shakespeare (especially Macbeth!) can feel overwhelming. But with the right guidance, students don’t just understand it — they thrive. They find their voice, build confidence, and suddenly that ‘dreaded play’ feels less like work and more like a play they’d actually watch.

improving from a grade 3 to a grade 5 solid pass in under 6 weeks for your GCSE English resits, and getting into your desired course at college. This is *everything!*

༄ And this is exactly what my English Language Masterclass sessions are for. Progress is inevitable when you show up each week. You can make exceptional improvements when you’re learning in the right spaces, accessing the right teaching, and receiving the right support.

༄ To give as many students as possible the opportunity to reach their full potential in English ahead of their upcoming GCSE exams, I will be running Easter Masterclass group sessions next week (and into the next term). Each class will focus on different aspects of English Language Papers 1 & 2, and cover the full range of essential skills and questions. Sessions will run for 1hr 15mins at £35 per session.

When you reach the end of the working day and open messages like this from grateful parents, life is sweet🥹

One of the students here has been struggling with his confidence in English. This is often 75% of the challenge most students face.

Having English as his second language and only studying in the British school system for less than a year, this has meant his confidence has required a boost and I’m delighted to say that after working together for just two English sessions, he is already experiencing improvements in his written, verbal and wider approach to English both inside and outside of the classroom. This student’s potential in English is huge, and when your confidence grows exponentially, so do your results!
