We've always believed that learning doesn't just happen in the classroom. It happens when people are given opportunities and when communities come together.

That's exactly why we're proud to be partnering with Leigh RUFC for Beyond the Final Whistle on Saturday 5 September. 🏉

Alongside tag rugby, crown green bowling and family activities, our Opportunity Village will give people the chance to explore careers, discover training pathways and connect with organisations that are investing in the future of our local area, which is more important than ever.

We'll also be welcoming some fantastic guest speakers to share how the values learnt through sport can shape successful careers long after the final whistle.

Whether you're coming for the match, exhibiting your organisation, looking for your next opportunity or simply joining us to support the day, we'd love to see you there! There is really something for everyone.

We were back out at Lilford Park yesterday - making sure space stays usable for every local resident to enjoy. 🌳

Lilford Park has always meant something to the people of Leigh 🌳

Back in 1915, Mayor Ashworth campaigned hard to open it to the public and make a place where working people could breathe a bit, switch off and enjoy a space that genuinely belonged to them.

That feeling hasn’t gone anywhere. You still see families, friends and whole communities using it in the way it was first imagined.

It’s close to DMR’s heart because the idea behind the park sits so naturally alongside the idea behind the work we do.

We’ve rolled up our sleeves in the park before and volunteered in helping restore it to its former glory.

Now let's say, there’s a fair chance we couldn’t resist doing the same once again.
