Vicky Tyrrell Community Artist I teach and enthuse people about creating beautiful stuff :) I work with families/schools/communities

I am a freelance Art & DT teacher with experience in both primary and secondary schools. I can tailor classes to a particular topic or aspect of the curriculum, and with my background in engineering/technology, one of my specialities is linking art/creativity to STEM subjects. I love inspiring and enthusing the kind of kids who might otherwise think "science is dull" or some other such nonsense! A

s well as working in schools, I have over 20years experience working with families and teenagers in voluntary settings. I enjoy delivering workshops and tuition to community groups with a varied age range; working on a creative project very quickly mixes all generations together

Help us Light Up Leigh this half term! 💡

In the run up to our Light Up Leigh parade, we're excited to hold drop-in sessions for families and children to create your very own light-up walking pole that they can hold whilst marching in the parade on Sunday 17th November.

Suitable for ages 4+, the light-up walking poles are quick to make with a little bit of grown-up assistance. Each can be personalised with the help of our amazing, local artists Helen Mather and Anna FC Smith.
