Unfortunately 123 Spanish Club online tools like the website, page, etc, are coming to and end. But this is the year of new beginnings and I hope you can FOLLOW me on this exciting adventure of Tutoring Spanish not only for my little ones, like I used to do in my clubs but also with my older students, those who are in secondary age, preparing for their GCSE, A-Levels...
I am not forgetting my older generation either.. I have something in mind for them too!

How is everyone doing??!! I can't believe it's been such a long time since the last time I posted on 123 Spanish Club.

Looking through my timeline I see the picture of myself with my golden ribbon graduating of my PGCE in MFL back in 2022!

Oh wow...what an adventure! Everything is coming around and after experiencing secondary teaching for a few years I feel ready to give tutoring another go.
The truth is I LOVE teaching. I love sharing my language with others and be a part of their journey discovering a new culture, a new world. I've loved seeing those moments of light and realisation in my teen students at school, the same way I used to love seeing my little munchkins sing songs in Spanish and dress up in my private groups or my older generation students feeling more confident before their next trip to Spain!.
However, I believe that in order to make a bigger impact I need to go back to tutoring. Schools unfortunately are under such pressures and broken systems that students really struggle to thrive in those type of settings and circumstances. It truly is heartbroken to see. 🥺

So this is what I am thinking. I have the tools and the experience now to help GCSE students reach their potential. I am qualified and I am also an AQA Examiner so I know what needs to be done in order to succeed.

So watch this space... let me organise my thoughts and ideas and pretty soon I will be able to offer families again the opportunity to learn Spanish, succeed in their academic goals and reach their potential.

By the way, this is me with a few more wrinkles..rocking those 42 years of life, but still with lots of energy and enthusiasm to give this journey another go.. 🥰

I made it! Say HOLA to the new Qualified Secondary MFL Teacher! 🥰💃

Finally finished my PGCE and I am just getting a few things ready and updating some information on my website so I can offer you again some fantastic Spanish lessons for your kiddos and for yourselves!❤️

Are your little ones ? Here in our family we started a brand new academic year with new goals and adventures!

Oldest one is starting Year 5 and our youngest one is starting Y1! 😱❤️

And mummy is starting a PGCE in Modern Foreign Languages so I can teach Spanish to even more people! 🥰🥰

My little “baby”-123 Spanish Club-has had to adapt to all these changes and now all our classes are prerecorded. 🇪🇸
Same fun! Just at anytime you want! ☺️👏🏻

Too Much Too Soon
"Too Much Too Soon" is the name of the Cambridge University's study into too early schooling. Their findings are echoed in Heather Shumaker's quote. When Heather talks about 'the pace of evolution' she is referring to the way the brain evolved and unfolds. The timing is genetically encoded with biological shifts in the brain at 1 year, 4 years, 7 years, 10-11 years and 15 years. Each of the 'spaces' between those shifts is filled with the activities which build the foundations for the next stage of development. What that means is time stolen from the 'building of foundations' impacts on the integrity of the whole system.
