And, that’s a wrap. Our last day. It’s been a busy, emotional week. Saying goodbye to families and children is never easy and quite possibly the toughest part of any childcare, teaching job. We have finished on a high and had a happy, fun week, including a first birthday 🎂Thank you to everyone for the kind words, cards and presents, people are so generous. Onto pastures new, and the start of another journey. Wishing all the children lots of love and good luck in all they do 😍🥰 I can’t wait to hear how well they are doing.

A busy week for these kiddies ☺️ We have experimented with pattern making this week, completely child led, using the beads and fabrics. We’ve made lagoons and pools for the mermaids 🧜🏻‍♀️💦💧And the older ones continue to help care for the babies 👶🏼👧🏼All that excitement seems to have worn them out 😴😴 a sign of a good, busy week 😊

What a beautiful bunch you are! 😍👶🏼👶🏼👶🏼 Beautiful, babbly, busy, babies. We had some tiny friends join us this week and the older ones were very interested in chatting and helping them settle in. Seeing the faces of babies light up as they interact with other babies and older children is a moment of pure joy.

The weeks are flying by and this week we celebrated the end of our amazing after school club. We have always offered wrap around care but following the success of our summer club last year the after school club really took off. Hopefully we’ve been a sense of continuity as the children left preschool and then started school together. It’s been a delight to support this group through their first year at school, especially under the circumstances!! The younger children enjoyed a wobbly treat which kept them entertained! Who can keep their jelly on the spoon?! 🥄 The 🐦🐦🐦 got lucky this week as the toddlers are now feeding the birds rather than eating the 🍞 themselves! 😂😂 We enjoyed some rhyme time and the children are now requesting songs, row row is always a fav 🚣🏻 And a sit in the trug led to a great game of peek a boo 👀😍

Another crazy busy week, I can’t believe how quickly the final weeks are flying by. Watching this enormous lorry do a three point turn was the most impressive piece of driving ever!! 🚚 The after schoolers continued their game of dogs 🐶 something they return to week on week. This emphasises the importance of allowing them the opportunity to return to their play and equally important, the chance to role play, something they all continue to enjoy. We had a fun end to the week with a jolly good old knees up with the musical instruments and music 🎵🎶

What another fun packed, busy week we’ve had. Highlights have included a trip to the library gardens to feed the birds 🐦🐦 painting continued, indoors 🎨 At after school club we set up a pharmacy and discussed how clever pharmacists mix medicines. But the highlight of the week was a lost tooth, which,with some very clever detective work 🔎 was found in the rug!! 🤣 And some, very special, treasured Sylvanian Family toys that have been ever so kindly gifted to us. The perfect, nice, calm end to a jolly good week.

Non pupil days have made for lots of fun interactions between the older children and the babies. The way the youngest of children show an interest and engage with the older children is always a special moment. Some al fresco painting brought some very calm time to after school club 🎨And trips to the local area was very much welcomed with a much loved pop to the swings 😍
