Pattern Drafting Measurements

Size S (UK 8–10)

* Waist Measurement: 28" (71 cm)
* Waist Radius: 4.5"
* Skirt Length: 40" (102 cm)
* Outer Radius: 44.5"

Calculation:

Waist Radius = Waist ÷ 6.28

28 ÷ 6.28 = 4.5"

Outer Radius = Waist Radius + Skirt Length

4.5" + 40" = 44.5"
Size M (UK 12–14)

* Waist Measurement: 32" (81 cm)
* Waist Radius: 5.1"
* Skirt Length: 42" (107 cm)
* Outer Radius: 47.1"

Calculation:

Waist Radius = Waist ÷ 6.28

32 ÷ 6.28 = 5.1"

Outer Radius = Waist Radius + Skirt Length

5.1" + 42" = 47.1"
Size L (UK 16–18)

* Waist Measurement: 36" (91 cm)
* Waist Radius: 5.7"
* Skirt Length: 42" (107 cm)
* Outer Radius: 47.7"

Calculation:

Waist Radius = Waist ÷ 6.28

36 ÷ 6.28 = 5.7"

Outer Radius = Waist Radius + Skirt Length
