🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ Saffron Lane Athletics Competition 🏅

A huge well done to our athletics team for representing St Thomas More at the Saffron Lane Athletics event last week.

The children showed fantastic determination, resilience and sportsmanship throughout the day, giving their very best in every event and supporting one another from start to finish. We were incredibly proud of the way they represented our school, demonstrating our values both on and off the track.

Whether competing in running, jumping or throwing events, every child gave 100% effort and showed great teamwork and encouragement towards others.

Thank you to the staff and parents who supported the event, and congratulations to all of our athletes for a wonderful day of competition and achievement. 🌟

🎉 Year 6 SATs Celebration Trip 🎉

What a fantastic day our Year 6 children had at Twinlakes! After all their hard work, determination and resilience during SATs week, it was lovely to celebrate together with a well-deserved day of fun, laughter and sunshine. 🌞

From thrilling rides to time spent with friends, the children represented our school brilliantly and made some wonderful memories together. We are so proud of the maturity, perseverance and positive attitude they have shown throughout the year — they truly earned this special treat!

It’s safe to say the children weren’t the only ones enjoying themselves… some staff may have embraced the rides a little too enthusiastically! 🎢😂

St. Thomas More Summer Fest 2026!

⭐️ After the huge success last year, we are so excited to start planning Summer Fest, 2026! This one is a special one, with it being the school’s 60th Anniversary! So please invite all your family and friends to come along with you to celebrate!

⚠️ We’ll need plenty of volunteers to help make the event a success, so please consider getting involved in any way you can! We would love children to hold their own stalls, supervised by parents, so please get thinking of ideas and we will be in touch with forms at a later date!

🐥 Exciting news in Robins Reception!

Our ducklings have started to hatch! The children have been fascinated watching the eggs crack and seeing our fluffy new arrivals make their way into the world.

This has been such a special learning experience, full of wonder, curiosity and lots of excitement! The children have loved observing the changes and talking about how we care for living things.

A wonderful reminder of new life, patience and responsibility 💛

A huge well done to our Year 5 and 6 Netball teams who played at Soar Valley on Friday! 🏐

Both teams showed fantastic determination, teamwork and resilience throughout the competition and we are so proud to share that both teams qualified for the Top 4 in East Leicester!

🥈 Our Blue Team finished an amazing 2nd overall
🏅 Our Red Team finished a brilliant 4th in East Leicester

The children represented our school beautifully, demonstrating our core values of love, respect and true sportsmanship in every match. They supported one another, played fairly and showed great encouragement to teammates and opponents alike.
