Great online session today with one of my students - using Pobble (online resource) as inspiration she created a lovely piece of writing trying to include lots of descriptive details - similes, expanded noun phrases and more. Always lovely to see so much creativity in their thinking. I often feel school writing lessons can be overly structured and therefore restricting. Today she had freedom. She did this entirely herself. With me there just to support and encourage her ideas. 🌙🌙🌙✨✨✨🌪️🌪️🌪️☁️☁️☁️

Coming up: the local NHS Children's Wellbeing Practitioners will be at Corby Library on *Monday 19th January, 2026, 3-5pm*, to mark Health Information Week. Bring the kids and come along and join in, for some fun activities that can help children and young people understand and handle tricky feelings. This is FREE to join in and is delivered with the NHS Northamptonshire Healthcare Trust.

Please note that children under 8 must be accompanied by a parent/carer at all times in the library.
