WE HAVE MORE POSITIONS AVAILABLE !
Thank you so much to everyone who has shown interest in the committee positions after our emergency email yesterday! You all really pulled through to help us out, and we now have at least one candidate per core position which means the society will definitely run next year!!
Now that our core positions (President, Secretary, Treasurer, Inclusion & Wellbeing) are definitely take care of, we can open up the rest of our committee positions to you all!
The following committee roles are now also available if anyone would like to nominate themselves -
Social Secretary
Social Media Officer
Campaigns Officer
This does not mean that you can't nominate yourself for our core positions as well, we welcome healthy competition! This just means that luckily we have enough people interested in being on the committee next year so we can have more roles up for grabs! Those who would officially like to nominate yourself, if you could write a short manifesto and send it to us asap that would be amazing! Just include a few points about yourself, your interests/experiences with feminism, and your suitability for the role. If you need any more tips then just let us know. Here is a link to the SU Elections Handbook which explains in detail all of the roles and responsibilities involved - https://docs.google.com/document/d/1uQhHr4DoA6-5TwSsC8ZHORxCnQl_fz2jjQ7GZggLpTY/edit?fbclid=IwAR0UnVmweDVd4c5zUxQZStj2g03fagh-MLS8tiNXcGwvATK7Xj3sXkKFh7Q =h.1t3h5sf
If possible, can you let us know by the end of the day if you would like to nominate yourself for a position, as this gives us time to contact the SU and get all the candidates added to the online voting system, as voting is already up and ends on sunday!
Thanks again, and good luck

We need your help!
As you guys know the student group elections are currently underway, and the voting is now open. However, we have sadly not had enough candidates nominate themselves for committee positions.
We desperately need both a President and a Secretary otherwise the Intersectional Feminist Society will not be able to run next year.
Please please consider nominating yourself as we would love to continue on for another year and we cannot do it without your help! If you would like to be on the committee just message us on any of our social media pages, email us back, or message Hannah Forester (secretary/elections coordinator). It doesn't matter if you don't have much experience with the society, we just need people with a passion for intersectional feminism who would help us next year. If you have any questions about the roles then please don't hesitate to ask us!

2 DAYS LEFT to nominate yourself for our 2019/20 IFemSoc Committee roles! ✨
We are currently recruiting the following roles for the 2019/20 committee -
President
Secretary
Treasurer
Wellbeing and Inclusion Ambassador
If you are passionate about intersectional feminism and would like to nominate yourself for any of these positions then please write a manifesto (doesn't have to be long/complex) and submit your nomination for the role online here - https://www.leicesterunion.com/opportunities/studentgroups/studentgroupelections/
We really need people to run for these core committee positions, because without them the society cannot run next year! Without your help we cannot continue to run the exciting and informative events we have created for our amazing members!
Nominations are open now, and will close again on March 13th! Voting will then be open online from March 18th-24th!
We know that running for a committee position can seem daunting and confusing, so if you need any advice on how to write a manifesto, or have any questions about the roles then please message the IFemSoc page or Hannah Forester (Secretary/Elections Coordinator). For tips on running, here is a link to the SU Elections Handbook which includes details of the roles/election process/manifesto info - https://docs.google.com/document/d/1uQhHr4DoA6-5TwSsC8ZHORxCnQl_fz2jjQ7GZggLpTY/edit
Good luck everyone!
